Matt Saternus
I think his chances of winning the Grand Slam are roughly...0%. My money is on Tiger at Pebble and St. Andrews, and Whistling Straits is an absolute bear. I think that'll be a "poop"shoot. xxio
The actual game does not fit Phil for those course. He just hits too high of a shot to play well in the winds of the Pacific, the UK, and WS. I do hope he contends just because of the good karma for his family.
JohnBarry
I love Phil, but the odds are so much against him, with so many players playing well right now. And yes, the wind factor hurts him a lot. Andrew Bush
no love or hope for PHil ;( i think pebble is a maybe and the british and pga is a negative but a hope and prayer and cross ur fingers then knock on wood turn around three times now ur dizzy and maybe phil does the unthinkable who knows? but u do have to win the masters for a season grandslam so step one lets talk more after the us open ? robbo32
I enjoy watching Phil and he is one of my favorite players on tour but I don't see him bagging the Grand Slam. Like said above he hits the ball to high for a UK course. I've seen Phil take a an 11 on the par 5 14th at pebbel a few years ago and we all know he is a better putter from 25 feet than 4 feet. I don't have my money on Phil or Tiger. I see Westwood taking home the Claret Jug. JohnBarry
I like him also, just don't think he could do it all in a year, the odds are stacked against him. John Barry Bring the Funk, Back to Golf The Golfer's Trip

HoosierGolfer
I'm a huge Phil fan but I'm not sure the British Open will ever fit his style. I see him winning a US Open and it could happen this year. He is too off and on to win a season slam which has never been done of course and I'm afraid the British could be the one that he never gets for the career slam. Addicted2Golf
I like Phil but I can't see him ever winning a US Open. I think that's kind of a silly statement considering he's finished 2nd a record five times. The man is due. Addicted2Golf
I think he could win at Pebble and people forget that he was in contention at Whistling Straights and finished just two shots out of the playoff during the last PGA Championship held there. I think where we would be a long shot is at the British Open. Lefty finished one shot out of a playoff in the British Open at Royal Troon in 2004 but historically he hasn't done well in that tournament. Padraig Harrington or Lee Westwood would be my favorites at St. Andrews this year. Tngolf77
I am not a Phil fan at all, but my vote for no has nothing to do with not liking him. I just don't see it happening he is a great guy and if it came down to it I would rather him do it than Tiger but I don't see anyone doing it in the near future. JohnBarry
Love to see him win Pebble just so there is a huge story line about it, instead of Tiger's lines. John Barry Bring the Funk, Back to Golf The Golfer's Trip
