About to purchase  a driver as gift for  my wife - trying to get feedback on

Cobra Amp Cell and the Ping Faith.  Both 14 degrees loft. 

Anyone have first hand comparison of between the two drivers?

Any input is appreciated.

I don't have a comparison, bit I played the amp cell for a while. Good driver. Not fantastic, but pretty good.

Thanks, appreciate the response.  Will further review the Cobra and Callaway. I use a Ping G25 and very happy with it.  So automatically lean towards Ping but not stuck on stupid with one brand as the be all, end all.

Are you looking to get her a whole set or just build on what she already has?

I only ask because I'm wondering if you could buy a box set and roll with it or if you wanna go full on fit it for her game.

My wife swings a Cobra Amp Cell with great success, I think she has it set at 14Degrees. Straight and long.

She is a beginner. Likes her starywr set but no driver. I realie both drivers i mention are more than she can handle at present. But i think she will be fine by end of the summer. And want a good club in her bag that will last her for awhile. Appreciate everyones comments.

I would pick the Amp Cell for my wife.  Should be able to find one for a fairly reasonable price by now, and it has a very simple adjustment for loft. (and Fresh colors!!!)

If you are looking to pick one up really cheap and that performs, I got my wife a Callaway FT-9 12deg on a VooDoo senior shaft a couple of years ago and it is great. It does everything she needs and it cost me $36.

 

It is a great way for her to learn to swing a 460 driver without spending a bunch of cash. Once she gets her swing optimized a little then she can get fit for a new driver that is truly hers. My wife will probably pick a Cobra because of the colors!

 

One thing is for sure, the more they like their equipment the more they will play which in turn should mean the more you get to play. So no matter how much it costs, it will be worth it!

Thanks to all for the comments.  Found a screaming good deal on a Faith 14 degree.  So good to go for the time being.
