Swinging in Sacramento

Howdy all, I'm longtime reader/follower and first time forum poster. Started play 20+ years ago, but started taking the game seriously in the last 5 years.

 

High (unofficial) handicap, practicing when I can, but with 2 toddlers and a 3rd on the way, course time is few and far between.

 

I prefer to walk courses with my push cart, play local and the occasional high end courses. Favorites include Pacific Grove Muni near Monterey, Yocha Dehe at Cache Creek, and Old Works in Anaconda, MT.

 

Got fitted after lessons at GolfTec (great place to learn/improve) but assembled my own clubs. Started my own 3 club tournament (the logo in my picture) a few years ago and am involved in a non-profit that hosts a fund-raising tourney for underfunded patients at the hospital where I work.

 

Just wanted to say hello.

Thanks for the warm welcome. I thought there were some more in the Sacramento area when I saw the mallet putter review happened at Haggin Oaks. Love this site and especially the helpful tips, just went back and did a self chipping assessment that was posted a few years ago and totally changed my chipping approach.
