myndcraft
I have the opportunity to save a significant amount of money on any of the following setsCallaway ApexCallaway X2 HotCallaway X2 Hot Pro Wilson D100Wilson C100Wilson FG Tour M3My question is should I? I have no issues with the X-20s and enjoy hitting them, but I'm wondering if any of these would be a significant improvement over the X20s. Obviously I would demo them all and get fit, but any general feedback about the above models would be great!
whiskey golf
Personally I would save the money if you hit your current irons as well as the new models, but if you do get fit and the new models perform much better than the X-20's then go for it. A good fitting will tell you if it's worth the switch.
BIG STU
Well I will ask you a few questions to consider. Does your 22s look good to you at address? Do they feel good when you are hitting them? Do you have confidence in them? Are they worn out to where you cant hit them anymore? My opinion if the answer to the first 3 questions is yes then I would not get rid of them. Number 4 can be subjective if it is just grips or shafts replace the grips and or shafts. It just depends on if you just want new clubs. I do know some guys that just wanted new clubs and after the honeymoon was over wished they had their old sets back. Personally I keep my old stuff besides my old mans set he left me I have 2 other sets that will never ever go anywhere untill they put me under. myndcraft
Thanks for the comments everyone! So my X20s do look good at address and I feel good hitting them, but I do seem to have dropped a club in distance over the last year. My primary reason for taking a look at new clubs is the tremendous pricing available to me on them and the X20s would get handed down to my teenager whose new to the game so I view it as a win-win. whiskey golf
If you've lost a club in distance then a new set of fitted clubs may help.

I think you just answered your question. All of the clubs that you mentioned come in lighter shaft options, that might be the ticket for you plus you'd need to get your kid a new set anyway. Get the new set for yourself and watch him pick up that club you've lost plus with your old set. My kid still has a set of Adams MB's that I gave him about seven years ago when I went to the irons that I'm just replacing - that's been a trek but settled on the C-100's.
