GolfBagCheck.com
Might be a little off subject, but I was hoping to start a thread with tips for selling clubs on ebay. Personally, I have gotten into the habit of listing clubs on tuesday afternoon for a 7 day auction. I have had pretty good success with that. I just feel like there is more activity early in the week. I don't like to have items closing later in the week or on weekends - but I have no real data to support that. What is your experience? mudfish
I usually have mine end on a Sunday so there is an entire weekend and it is at a time for people to be at home to compete and outbid eachother... SPY VIP GolfSpy_X Posted April 27, 2010 SPY VIP Share Posted April 27, 2010 Weekends are typically the worst time to end auctions. This is because when you look at the traffic analysis they are the least trafficked days of the week. Monday is the highest and it tapers off gradually throughout the week. So I think Tuesday is a good day to end them. Just my 2 pennies. #TruthDigest
mudfish
Very interesting... I never knew that... Is it because people are on eBay at work? Addicted2Golf
Time of day is important also. Don't end your auctions during the middle of the day or really late at night EST if you want to maximize the number of bids you receive. RookieBlue7
I usually try to end mine on Mondays around 8:00PM. I've always had successful auctions that way, as you tend to get more bids and higher dollar amounts. SPY VIP GolfSpy_X Posted April 29, 2010 SPY VIP Share Posted April 29, 2010 I would agree if I were to pick the optimal day and time it would be Monday at 8 PM. This is because it is not only the highest trafficked day but also the 8 PM makes sure you reach both coasts by the end of their work day. I usually try to end mine on Mondays around 8:00PM. I've always had successful auctions that way, as you tend to get more bids and higher dollar amounts. #TruthDigest

aschneider
Thanks for the info. I've purchased a ton of clubs on eBay, but have just started looking into selling some so this will really come in handy. Thanks all!
