I would like to see a break down by club.  The SLDR was a game changer, but I don't think it was a good enough fit for most of the golfing population.  I also don't think their iron releases brought anything new  to the table; while I love the TPs, they were not an upgrade from RBladez or SpeedBladez for most people.  Honestly, if I hadn't got the locker, I'd still be gaming the RBladez.

People wanted the look of the SLDR but needed the performance of the JetSpeed. When that happens in the store they move on to the next brand.

I've also heard rumours about issues with deliveries and orders to stores. Nothing confirmed, but when you get many of them there's usually some truth in it.

No summer/late summer release must have had some impact too.

Terrible numbers no matter how you look at it.

Makes me wonder how well the TP line actually sold.   With no new drivers and just the reviled SLDR-S series (who wants to be stuck with one glued-in shaft choice these days?), TMag couldn't offer much through the late summer 2014.   Meanwhile the SB and Rbladez still sold well on the used market.

All the above has to be persuading TMag that their 2014 philosophy of slower, more traditional releases got them NOTHING.   How could they not be tempted to go back to fast and flashy?

Id like to see sales of the rest of the industry by comparison because if TMAG was down, then everyone else must have been down even more.

Why do you think this?  I do not believe TMAG is reflective as to what a Callaway, Titleiest or other OEMs do.

I think the bad publicity around the industry doesn't help, so I do agree others will most likely be down, but I do not think "even more."

I've heard that both Callaway and Wilson are claiming they are slightly profitable in 2014.   Don't know if this means + sales numbers or not.  Probably not.

I don't get this at all, the SLDR is such a good club and yet the plug is already pulled. They've had great balls on the market but can't make up their mind with those and I can't even tell you which of their irons are for me.

The name changes are killing them IMO! Pick a name and stick with it.

Taylor Made Stealth 2 10.5 Diamana S plus 60  Aldila  R flex   - 42.25 inches

SMT 4 wood bassara R flex, four wood head, 3 wood shaft

Ping G410 7, 9 wood  Alta 65 R flex

Srixon ZX5 MK II  5-GW - UST recoil Dart 65 R flex

India 52,56 (60 pending)  UST recoil 75's R flex

Evon roll ER 5 32 inches

It's our offseason so auditioning candidates - looking for that right mix of low spin long, more spin around the greens - TBD

That may be exactly why we are seeing the "R" again.

BTW, did anyone actually follow their Instagram reveal promotion. Way too much effort for me to play along.

It is fairly safe to say that the industry is down as a whole. However, when a major OEM (TMag) had a VERY large part of it's business with one retailer (Dick's), and that retailer decides to downgrade it's buying significantly, you can expect some pretty serious ramifications in the bottom line. I am willing to bet that NO other major manufacturer is down over 30% this past quarter..
