How Much Golf is Too Much Golf?

Didn't think there was any such thing, but The Stylist puts it into perspective...

It would only be too much golf IF.......it gets in the way of Family & Work. Gotta work to pay the bills and Family comes first.

Twice a day? Not since I was a teenager! Twice a week is my maximum if I'm lucky - twice a month in the winter.

But if I play, very rarely, more than 2 times in a week now then my concentration can be shocking and my cr@ppy body lets me down.

Rest in peace long sticks - I'll remember you

In the summer I usually walk nine holes most days during the week while having lunch; takes about 75 minutes. After work my wife and I will either play nine holes or we will play a money game with friends. During the rest of the year, I will still walk nine holes during lunch but only a couple of times a week. One weekends my wife and I will either play 18 both Saturday and Sunday or find a game somewhere. We usually take a golf trip for a week to 10 days somewhere; maybe twice a year.

And this is less golf than we used to play when we were younger!!

We don’t stop playing the game because we get old; we get old because we stop playing the game.”

I believe it is not only how many rounds you play, but how much is golf on your mind?

For example, you practice your golf swing when you are alone on a elevator or in a fitting room at a store, you work on your grip while you talk on the phone or wait for your food at the drive thru, there are golf magazines on your nightstand and all of the bathrooms in your house, there are golf clubs in your bedroom closet, you hit sponge balls in your bedroom, the bag is the car year round, you go to the golf dome 3 times a week in the dead of winter, your Amazon wish list is all golf stuff, you work on the weight shift and shaft lean while using the rest room thing (it is a great visual actually, but only men can do this), you spend your last eight dollars on a golf glove instead of eating lunch, you take a slightly longer route to work so you can get a glimpse of a golf course, you watch Morning Drive, your wardrobe is golf shirts, sweaters, and khakis, there are more golf tees in your change bowl than quarters,  and finally, you post stuff on this website.

Respectfully,
DHUCK WHOOKER
