Three Performance Zones Deliver Unmatched Flexibility, Balance and Stability

 

CARLSBAD, Calif. (Nov. 20, 2014) – Today, PUMA Golf introduces BioDrive – the next generation of golf footwear designed for performance, training and versatility on and off the course, featuring three specialized zones specifically engineered to increase flexibility, balance and stability.

 

BioDrive's three performance zones provide superior grip and control on course, utilizing multiple decoupled octagon shaped pods in the forefoot for flexibility and increased ground contact and traction. Additionally, the mid-foot axis point allows for supportive torsional movement for a balanced feel, and lastly, four connected pods in the heel provide a sturdy platform for unmatched stability.

“Training in the gym and on the course is important for golfers of all levels. And when you need to go from the weight room to the range it's vital to have the right footwear. Infused with PUMA Golf's signature colors and progressive golf style, the BioDrive's silhouette is designed to mimic a fast, athletic shoe while the outsole is inspired by features of a traditional golf shoe. The outsole contains 10 strategically positioned octagons providing 130 unique points of traction. The traction on the perimeter of each octagon is designed with a larger surface area to provide better traction on indoor, smoother surfaces, while traction on the center octagons provide stable performance on the golf course. A waterproof performance ripstop mesh upper that is lightweight and breathable and helps golfers stay cool and protected in any weather. The shoe comes with a 2-year waterproof warranty.

Puma makes a very comfortable traditional shoe. At least for my foot.

Here are some in-hand photosof the new Puma BIODRIVE shoes.  The shoes are extremely comfortable on the foot.  First impressions are that they are more stable than the previous two offerings.  Waterproofing is a plus on these.  Had an opportunity to go through a fitting with these on, hitting some full shots.  Puma is as comfortable as anything on the market.

Nike or puma - both misses for me. Plus I sense more green issues from those 'studs' as with the adizeros.
