markb
I've never liked any Callaway ball, but the SuperSoft is a pretty good winter ball. This ad looks like its going to tout a soft compression Top of the Line ball, a la the Wilson FG Tour (at 70 compression). RoverRick
No NAME? Wait a minute, didn't Cally just come out with not 1 or 2 but 3 balls based on swing speed just this year that was supposed to make us win as much as Phil Mickelson, Stewart Appleby, Jim Furyk, Henrik Stenson, Nicolas Colsearts and Tommy Gainey? Oops, no wonder they are coming out with a ball that changes the ball. furu
We hit all the 2014 balls from all the major brands on TrackMan. Wanted to see if there's any difference there at all. Most expensive range session ever......... Just play the one that feels good when you hit wedges. And don't buy the cheap rocks and expect them to feel like a marshmallow and spin like a japanese drifter.

furu
I'll look through my files. Will post here if I find it. We didn't use all the data in the magazine. It's way too nerdy for regular readers Biggest surprise was when our pro - a 330 yard driving "great Dane" - hit the Supersoft. Loved the ball flight. I expected it to explode He crushed everything. Amazing ball striker. The other ball that really stood out was Bridgestone e7. It promises lower ball flight and it delivered. It was visible even just by looking at the ball flying over the range. It wanted to stay down. I love when a product does what it says. Anyway. I'm sure this new Callaway ball is super. They've made excellent golf balls for years. Problem is that the company is having a hard time finding the strategy for selling them. SR1, 2 and 3 is one or two too many.
hckymeyer
The info has been released, anyone going to be trying them out? Seems to be in the middle zone between a tour ball and a mid-tier ball in both performance and price point. Personally if I'm paying $38 for a dozen I'm probably going to go a different route. I think this ball needed to come sub-$30 to have a shot. http://cmp.callawaygolf.com/chrome-soft/?mcid1=213 Driver: SLDR w/ Fujikura Ventus Black 3w: '16 M2 hl w/ Diamana D+ 82 5w: Launcher HB w/ HZRDUS Yellow Hybrid: 22 deg.
