markb
Well, hit me with a shovel and wake me up! I did not know that Ben Hogan (through Perry Ellis) is already selling balls, gloves and other accessories. I haven't seen them anywhere in my stomping grounds yet and it looks like Kohl's is the only place you can actually get them -- through their online store. The balls are Surlyn cheapies only. But does this mean we'll see a good urethane for 2015? If so, I'll definitely hit it. I used to love the older Hogan balls. http://www.kohls.com/catalog/ben-hogan-golf.jsp?CN=4294709620+4294735315&searchTerm=ben+hogan&submit-search=web-regular Has anybody actually hit them or does anyone know who makes them for Hogan/Ellis? bag - SunMountain Synch with Ogio Synergy X4 cartdriver - Optiforce 440, Paderson Kevlar Green stiff 46.5"fwoods - Jetspeed, 3HL regularirons - Speedblades 3-8, 85g stiff steel, 2 upwedges - Scor 40, 45, 50, 54, 58putter - Ketsch 35" slight arc, SuperStroke 2.0 mid-slimball - ProV1x
GolfSpy Barbajo
They were selling these around a year ago on the PGA Superstore website - the lines, 2-piece distance, 2-piece soft and a 3-piece ball. Bought a dozen of each to try --- kinda liked the 3-piece ball. A bargain at $20/dozen. RoverRick
We have b!tched for years about Callaway killing the Hogan Brand but the Hogan Tour Deep ball was what Cally wanted. It was the ball that was the basis for all Callaway tour balls. The i and ix and iz and the others. Of course the Hogan Tour Deep was just the premium Top Flight ball and there is no reason to suspect that any new ball will be anything like older Hogan balls. PlaidJacket
I've tried and played the Master Grip (MG) Tour C4 Urethane and they are fantastic balls. And at $19.99/dz. how can you go wrong? Anyway... I think I read somewhere perhaps here on MGS that these balls were some kind of former Hogan ball. Did I dream that? If I didn't have 5-6 dozen balls already in stock in my golf closet I'd purchase a few dozen of these. Probably will this summer sometime. Oh, and have you tried their gloves? Can't beat um. http://mggolf.com/home.asp?ru=0&v= My Sun Mountain bag currently includes: 771CSI 5i - PW and PFC Micro Tour-c 52°, 56°, 60 wedges EXS 10.5*, 929-HS FW4 16.5* Willimette w/GolfPride Contour

markb
The gloves look fine. The apparel is REALLY GOOD FOR THE PRICE! I'll bet the balls will be fine too. Heck, if you threw a urethane cover on that 3 piece, you'd have as good a ball as the Top Flite Gamer Tour, wouldn't you? (And the Gamer Tour is pretty dang good for the money.) Could the Scor/PE folks do this? Of course they could. The Balls' production is subbed out anyway. There aren't that many ball manufacturing plants in the world as it is, so much is subcontracted. The MG C4 balls are subbed, as is every other small brand. Heck, I believe Nike's actually commercial production is still pumped out by Bridgestone, although they do all their own R&D work in house. I'll bet these Hogan balls are made in the same Taiwan factory that makes the Wilson balls. Take a look on the Box Foz and tell us what you see when you get yours. bag - SunMountain Synch with Ogio Synergy X4 cartdriver - Optiforce 440, Paderson Kevlar Green stiff 46.5"fwoods - Jetspeed, 3HL regularirons - Speedblades 3-8, 85g stiff steel, 2 upwedges - Scor 40, 45, 50, 54, 58putter - Ketsch 35" slight arc, SuperStroke 2.0 mid-slimball - ProV1x
fozcycle
The Hogan Edge, 2 piece soft ball is a very durable ball. Distance and performance is like a Q Star or NXT Tour S.......but at half the price! I was 7 for 7 getting out of the bunkers last week, leaving decent putts.
