RoverRick
Hello, Hello, Is this thing on? I have an announcement to make. So may I have your attention, please. Thank you.JBones travels to Memphis occasionally with his work. I travel to West Memphis with my work. We will be there on March 15th for work. HOWEVER, this does not mean we will work all week. This is still in the very early stages but we want to have MyGolfSpy Tour's Cross Country Shootout II Memphis again this year. We met last year at Mirimichi just outside of Memphis. The week of March 15-23 has been chosen because Theo claims spring break then. We are considering a meet for a few days at the end of the week. Like playing 18, 19, and 20 but it is open to all and we can do our planning here. . Chime in with your thoughts. RoverRick
It's a free country, you can tee it up and play in from the hotel if that floats your boat. Kenny B
What's the yardage from the Ladies tee? I have marked it on my calendar. Can't say for sure as my business travel hasn't been set yet. There's a possibility that I will be in Albuquerque. “We don’t stop playing the game because we get old; we get old because we stop playing the game.”
JBones
Actually it's 7600. Nope, you were right, it's 7500. Seems shorter to me. Lol Follow @GolfspyBones
Kenny B
Actually it's 7600. Lol That's not funny! Last July I played from 6700 yards at 6000 feet elevation and I was lucky to carry to the fairway on a couple holes! “We don’t stop playing the game because we get old; we get old because we stop playing the game.”

It didn't seem to play at 7500 all the time, just on the par 3s and this particular par 5 that felt like I crossed Russia. PlaidJacket
Interesting. A new minutes ago while in the shower I was thinking that MGS should hold an annual tournament somewhere centrally located in the country. (Kansas, Missouri, Colorado, Iowa, Nebraska, Oklahoma) I live in Texas FYI. Perhaps in late summer or fall. Or perhaps several regional tournaments. With a championship somewhere? Hmmm? I like the idea. We could call it the MGS Open. My Sun Mountain bag currently includes: 771CSI 5i - PW and PFC Micro Tour-c 52°, 56°, 60 wedges EXS 10.5*, 929-HS FW4 16.5* Willimette w/GolfPride Contour

I like the idea. We could call it the MGS Open. We will probably have other ones this year. Last year we played in Huntsville. The weather was miserable. The year before we played in Jasper. The weather was miserable. I say miserable because what are the chances of 9 inches of rain in August, and then snow and sleet in March, in Texas. A couple of years ago we played in Vancouver, and the weather was perfect. We will have more of these, where in Texas do you live? There will be more of this this year, I just had more important things the last 6 months of this year to do. Long way to go, but my wife and I are planning a golf trip next January/February to the World Golf Hall of Fame. Right now, we're planning on staying for a week at Daytona Beach and a week in Orlando. I'm hoping that we can hook up with you and Rev. “We don’t stop playing the game because we get old; we get old because we stop playing the game.”

No, however, I may be headed to Florida in July. I met RevKev a few years ago at World Woods. We are supposed to do the Disney thing again, but with the wife's sister and nephew. I will slip away for golf sometime. That too is in the early planning stages. RoverRick
Oh my! It turns out that this is the week, that I and a mutual friend have agreed to meet Barbajo in Dallas, so this is a bit of an issue. Still plenty of time to find out what is going on. I did not remember when it was, just that at the time I had no other plans.
