Kenny B
Tiger is a non-topic since he isn't eligible for the tournament anyway. “We don’t stop playing the game because we get old; we get old because we stop playing the game.”
mr_divots
Interested to see if the Gil Hanse re-design plays better in its 2nd year. Looked like he messed up that course real good last year. Interesting when thinking of the Olympic venue. "Glute Activator" *Please accept my contributions of participation and intellectual property sharing as substitute for monetary renumeration. William, I am not "liking" this because I want to hear a lot about him! I am just agreeing with you. The GC guys can't say anything about other players without coming up with some comparison to Tiger. It gets a little old. They can't help themselves, and maybe they mean it as a compliment to the other players to be compared to Tiger. But I think they really do it for ratings. “We don’t stop playing the game because we get old; we get old because we stop playing the game.”

revkev
I don't know that the course was messed up too much. It used to be brutal (hence the term blue monster) and equipment had removed lots of its teeth. I think the intent was to put the teeth back in and the greens just need to mature a bit. I played the old course with old equipment (persimmon driver) from the tips and it was a bear. It seemed to be a bear again last year. I think they'll score a little better this year because they'll know the course and the greens will hold a bit more. In Florida it's always all about the weather anyway. You have to build our courses with some space because of the swirling winds this time of year. Our better courses will have trouble on both sides because of those winds - when they blow and swirl just about any course gets tough because it's very hard to figure out where to miss. When the winds are down even our tougher courses are cake because its so flat and generally the conditions are soft. You simply hit the ball from point A to point B and it stays there. That is if you hit the ball straight.
