That was me 5 years ago washer crapped out and I got to buy her a matching set of Speed Queens! They got bells and whistles. They also cost about as much as 2 sets of Mizunos, but she had to have them so we have them

Yeah, the basic scrarch and dent twist knob to start dryer wasn't gonna cut it.  But we did find a somewhat good deal on a special order that never got picked up.

Ok after taking this guy out for a test drive yesterday during my round, I decided to bring home with me  permanently. Traded in the g425 4hy for the g430 hy. Definitely felt hotter off the face and the stock shaft made a big difference in feel for me. Already seeing better results after just few shots. 

Lucky for me it was used only 2 or 3 rounds by the previous owner so I basically stole it. 

I also lucked into a free ballnamic fitting and the #2 recommended choice for me was the Bridgestone Tour BX. I just happened to see these lonely guys on a shelf on clearance since they are last years model and thought what the hell let's give em a go and see if they make a difference. The pros and cons of working at a golf store.

Anyone in here buy the new Cobra Darkspeed irons? Know someone who has? I'd be super curious to hear more on them besides all the initial reactions and such i can find. Mostly how the finish and such holds up to actual use... darker colored irons or wedges always get beat up in the finish so fast... makes me nervous to drop the money on them.

I shot a mocassin 2 weeks ago while mowing the front yard. Making a beeline right towards me. If they can lift off water enough to jump in a boat, they sure as heck can come over a mower deck!  Rob 1, nope rope 0

I have now played two 9-hole rounds with my new-to-me TSR2 7W. It replaced a Callaway Rogue ST Max 7W with stiff shaft. The TSR has a heavier, 75g. x-stiff shaft. Hit it as second shot on four par 5 holes now. Three went bullet straight and one had a baby (3-5 yard) draw. All launched great from either fairway or rough. With the low-launch x-stiff shaft, the flight profile is somewhere between a 5W and my old Rogue 7W and that's perfect for me.

I tried a Darkspeed 7W earlier in the year at the end of a driver fitting and it was nice. Just not as consistently straight as I was looking for. It was very close to the Rogue in numbers. But the Darkspeed woods all look badass. Enjoy!

Discovered today that Golf Pride makes a +2 grip so of course I regripped my entire bag. I like the +4 grips for eliminating the left side of the golf course and they had their place while I was in the middle of a swing change. Now it is time to try something new that will allow a little more release with the hands.

A little while ago I purchased the Mizuno T24 wedges. From longer yardages they were spot on but around the green I just couldn’t get used to the denim finish. On full shots it didn’t bother me but close up around the green it was distracting. 
As I have all the tools in the garage grinds, polishing and buffing machines for clubs I decided to do one of the wedges. 
Results and this is dealers choice, I am happy with the results and this rose gold finish to me just works. Here are photos of the other wedge not yet done and the rose gold one. The wedge still needs a little extra buffing but first impressions.

It turned out great man. Much less glare I would imagine.
