So far I like it. I would prefer one size less, but it’s comfortable. Definitely try all three sizes installed of possible, I thought this one was right on out of the wrapper, but feels a little large on the putter. Could be the width of the stability shaft??  IDK, it’s still good.

Pretty excited for my new irons coming. I got fit by a buddy of mine who is the assistant pro at a club near me, as well as a demo day in my area and contrary to what I "should" hit being game improvement irons... I hit players/players distance/forged irons significantly better. So I bit the bullet on a combo set of Srixon ZX5/7 fit to my specs and also am going to give the Sub 70 699 Pro V2 Utility 17° since I cannot hit driver/woods/hybrids very well. Figured it has excellent reviews from here, and plenty of other sites or YT channels, maybe it'll help correct the top end of my bag and shave a good bit on my scores since off the tee and longer approach shots for me are without a doubt my biggest weakness. At the price with 10% off major weekend being under $100, it's absolutely worth taking a shot at.

I cannot WAIT for them to show up! Also looking at a new putter. I really liked hitting the Cleveland HB SOFT 2 RETREVER at my local shop so I'm gonna ask for that for my birthday coming up in a few weeks. 

Looking like my irons will be here on Monday! Woooo!

Just picked up a set of Ping i530 irons and I love them, love the way they look and feel. First clubs I have felt I can shape my shots and decide whether I’m playing a draw or a fade, also added 15-20 yards per club. Overall awesome set of irons if you’re in the market!

Congrats! Everything I’ve read and watched on these suggests Ping really brought a great set to market. I may ask to try them out next time I’m near the Ping fitting facility at Kierland. Any chance you’ll be posting a more in-depth unofficial review of your experience with them?

The Auditor 3 club curing cell.  This has to be one the best tools I’ve purchased cures 24 hour epoxy in about an hour. It saves me a ton of time when building clubs. Well worth the investment imho.

I just bought some MG4 Wedges and what a difference. I had some old worn out Vokeys and the distance change has messed up my short game (not that it was any good). I am hoping to get out in this scorching heat this week and figure out these distances. 

 

On another note, I am looking to purchase a putter with toe hang. Currently reviewin the TM spyder. Any suggestions?

As much as I would love to do that I don’t have a simulator to be able to track a lot of all that and even if I did I have sold my old clubs so I wouldn’t be able to compare, next time for sure tho!

It wasn’t me, rather my wife for a Father’s Day gift. But we came across Devereux Golf (hadn’t seen it before) and snagged a few items from their site.

A Pinehurst T and a new golf towel ‘Golf is my Therapy’. Luckily she knows the latter is accurate for me.

The Wilson Buckingham was tested as one of the Most Wanted a few years ago and is only $130 new. It's got the Spider shape, but it's milled. Also, Callaway seems to be having a big sale on their eBay store, so Odyssey putters from 2021/22 are going for cheap in "like new" condition. I have an Odyssey #10 on the way and it was only $150.

Picked up a Callaway Big Bertha v-series heavenwood at my local golf shop in their used club bucket. Older club but got it for $30 and wanted to play around before committing more money to it. I hit a few shots with it on the range and it definitely launched high - tendency was a high draw that sometimes was more of a hook. I definitely see the appeal of it but will need to play around some more. I'm intrigued by the v-sole for making it playable other than just off the tee.

I've been try to find the right club or two between my 4 hybrid and 3 wood. I love the idea of a club that doesn't go much longer than my hybrid but launches high and lands soft for long par 3s and tight/short par 4s when I need to hit a fairway. Especially playing in Michigan where we generally don't get a lot of extra rollout. Currently I play a 3 hybrid that I can tee up a bit for higher launch but its more of a fairway finder club than a hit in to par 3 club for me - probably more mental block

Nice! I wouldn't be surprised if it becomes your favorite club in the bag. I recently added a 7 wood to my bag, and I am really happy with it! Similar to your statement about it going a similar distance to your hybrid, my 7 wood and 4 iron are fairly similar in distance (7 wood slightly more flight distance, but less run out), and I've found that it gets a lot of use in my bag. It's just so easy to hit, and is quickly becoming my go-to club when I just need to keep something in play.

That is one of my hopes! I think I need to shift mentality with the 7 wood specifically to just let the club do the work. Really going after it is going to lead too much spin

After evaluating the current performance of my PXG wedges - 2 years old, for example not spinning enough on many shots, I'm replacing them.  Earlier discussions also led me to get a 50 degree GW instead of the 52 I've been using.  This will give me better gap between my PW and GW.

Ordered new irons today. Mizuno Pro 245, 5-P. Had a fitting with Mizuno a few weeks ago. Nippon NS Pro Modus3 105 stiff shafts. Golfpride MMC Plus4 grips. 
Going to be a long 3 weeks waiting for them to arrive.

My used 9 wood got here yesterday.  So excited, time to test it and maybe have it in the bag for Thursday night league.

Opening the box it sure looked like the biggest 9 wood I'd ever seen.

Biggest acquisition of the week was for my 15 y/o! Saved his Bday $$$ and bought himself his first driver! He was piping them 150-180 carries on the trackman and he can’t wait for our Saturday 9! So freaking happy for him!

@Wib081. I got those exact shoes at a Ross for silly cheap too!  I've enjoyed the hybrid spikes.

 

So I saw this for $2 and something made me think I've seen add for Teardrop recently.   Yup,  they have rolled out some new convertible putters.  Roll face technology seems to have been a fad though.   This thing is heavy!!!  It's quite abused though and not sure it's recoverable or even worth anything.
