Paying $30 for a regrip tool hurt my principles but maybe I can recoup some of that selling saved grips. Already did one and it came off easy as pie. Gonna try a Super Stroke later this week once the new one comes in. Sent from carrier pigeon using MyGolfSpy Confirmed. It works well for Super Stroke grips. Took a little bit of effort to get started but was able to get it off unscathed in about 15 minutes. Patience pays off if you let the solvent work its way down at each level. Eventually you get to the point where the whole grip will spin and you kind of screw it off from there. Now I've got a nice little collection of perfect condition grips. Gonna take some pics and post a listing. What did you use for the solvent? Sent from my SM-T580 using Tapatalk ⬆ï¸This. You can get solvent from all kinds of sources. I like this stuff because it doesn't really have a smell. The needle-shaped tip makes it easier to squirt in the grip once you get a little space. I've also got one that sprays as a spreader for when I'm putting the grip on. Blowing is a great tool if the grips were blown on to begin with but can be tricky with tape-installed grips. Mpatrickriley talked in another thread about how he got grips off by squirting solvent in the vent hole then follow that up with the air compressor. You can absolutely blow up grips so you just need to be careful not to rush. Patience pays. GolfJunkie302
Yeah, that special grip solvent is really good stuff. I've also used the one with the spray tip before. Those make regripping super easy. But I'm kind of cheap so I just use mineral spirits. That seems to do the trick, but definitely not like the spray tip does. Kor.A.Door
I finished assembly, and they are ready to play. The KBS Black Nickel shafts are sweet to look at, but a pain in the butt to tip prep, unless you have equipment to do it. I usually prep my tips by hand with rough sand paper, takes a bit of time, but I get my hands dirty which I like. The problem with these is you have to also get the playing off in order to get to the step part of the shaft. I needed up using my Dremel with sanding paper to remove it. I will post pics later.
