The Z06 is a nice ride, I am just not a Vette guy. Need more than two seats and not being able to throw my sticks in the back is a deal breaker.

Fair enough...just another thought. Chevy SS. 4 door, looks plain, big boot and easily upgradable 400HP on tap...but, it's an Aussie.

Not a bad option at all but need more HP in a toy. The Chevy SS is a nice base to start with. My daily driver is a bit over 500 hp. Dodge Charger RT with some work done on it.

Hmm.. Well GTR, M3, and such are out then. I'm sure you have already been looking but the only things I can think of American made with 4 seats that make 500+ ponies are: either one of the Hellcats/ SRT8s, a Caddy CTS-V/ STS-V, Mustang Shelby GT500 and a ZL1 Camaro. Anyone think of something different?

Nothing matches the luggage space and 4 seats like the Charger.  I looked for a year; anything but a minivan or SUV.  The Challenger's trunk is maybe slightly larger, but not as accessible, and I like 4 doors.  I can get 2 SM push carts and 2 SM cart bags in the trunk for local trips, or 2 roll aboard suitcases and 2 cart bags for long golf trips.  Mine is just a stock 370hp R/T, but I would like to take the Hellcat out for a spin!!

Add the Jeep Cherokee SRT to the list as well.  Just under 500hp from the factory and easily converted to 600hp+.

I would agree with that.  Left mine stock for a year then started playing with it a bit.  The only thing that I put on it that I ended up bailing on were the Borla exhaust, just too loud for my liking.

If I'm in that ride, Golf isn't in the picture so, I don't care about a place for the sticks.

 

At any rate, I'll take a Viper over a Vette any day.

I thought about the srt8 jeep but common... That's gonna get smoked by stuff with alot less power. If its me and its a 4 seat toy for the weekend then give me an EVO, STI or a GTR(if I wanna pony up the casheesh). But I like turns so that may just be me. If it were you then I would prolly look at the GT500. Over 600 ponies and its actually decent looking for a mustang even though they aren't really my thing. Although the Zl1 and and CTS-V aren't far from the mix.

Almost as fun as dusting a Mustang GT in my 4 door family sedan Charger. Looks and sounds stock, but more HP than a GT and I have AWD.

Haha my favorite moment was busting a Lambo in my Mazda and then followed me just to talk about what I had done. Super cool guy not the reaction I was expecting. Nothing like the unsuspecting sedan.

Nice! I'm stage 1 with breaks and tires redone on my GTI but I sure couldn't hang with that. What did you end up doing with it?

Wow, I have been doing it wrong all these years. I normally make it go fast before I realize that I need to make it turn and stop.

Stage 1 tune came first so there's the go faster. Then brakes and tires. Like I said, I like turns more than the 1/4. She still has a long way to go.

Downpipe and stage 2 are next.
