Wish I had his distance and shot shape, but I know the 917 isn't going to do that for me. I have wide feet and I feel like my right feet is a little wider so it's really difficult to find the right pair that fits perfect. I guess I need to find something that fits like a running shoes, softer top and sides that is more flexible. I been thinking about the new Footjoy Hyperflex II. I have found that the new True spikeless shoes are very comfortable while walking, but the soles wear out fairly quick. We have paved cart paths and the guys I walk with usually stick to those when going to the next hole, but I walk in the grass as much as possible. I try not to walk in the parking lot either. The True Game Changer Pros have spikes and wear better, but the heel is a little different and not as comfortable when walking. They are great while riding in a cart, which I do when the grass is wet. I'm standard length generally speaking. I'll get them fitted for lie angle and adjust length if necessary. Even if I decide to reshaft them I'll still save money. I've hit the driver before and those are the specs that worked for me. They all have to be regripped anyways to the grips I play. It's starting to show wear, but it should last as long as I need it to.
