DK03
As a group we buy/sell/trade a lot of gear on a regular basis, time to show it off. So what have you bought lately? I picked up a Carnahan St. John's putter in the bargain bin at 2ndSwing for $8. Took it home and reshafted/gripped it and put in some new paintfill. IMG_2679 (Custom).JPGIMG_2680 (Custom).JPGIMG_2681 (Custom).JPG Next up is the possible replacement for my SLDR. I really wanted it to be a G30 LS, but the numbers just weren't there. So hit this bad boy and spin dropped almost 900rpm and ball flight straightened out. I'll have to get it on the course for a side by side comparison before I determine if it makes a spot in the bag. IMG_2682 (Custom).JPG Just picked up a 915D2 myself. Immediate improvement. Kenny B
Thanks Rick. I played a sweet set of becu Ping Eye 2's from 2005-2007. Great clubs but I never cared for the Ping Microtaper shafts. I took a break from golf and after not playing for 4 years decided to sell them. Got a pretty penny for them too. I used to play with a guy years ago that had a set of ISI's and after hitting a set a few weeks ago I remembered how good they were, so I found a set cheap on eBay. Got them all cleaned up with some new paintfill with some new Pure Grips going on later this week. They are really beautiful clubs in an ugly sort of way, almost like functional modern art. 1A0D4C3E-70E6-43B7-B52B-F2519759B65F.JPG Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Nice job on the ISI's. They were never my favorites; stuck with my Ping Eye 2's for probably longer than I should have. Had to go to graphite, but love them! deejaid 1 Quote “We don’t stop playing the game because we get old; we get old because we stop playing the game.”

Had to go to graphite, but love them! I really liked my Ping Eye 2's. My buddy had i3 blades and switched to some ISI after I got my Eye 2's. This was around 2006 so both the Eye 2's and ISI were old clubs by then. We both played white dot so I tried his ISI's and holy smokes, just incredible. I was kind of jealous as they performed better than my Eye 2's. His ISI's had JZ Stiff shafts while my Eye 2's had Microtaper stiff shafts. The JZ's were just a much better shaft for me. It was a bit difficult finding a white dot set with the JZ shafts, most were the ZZ's which play similar to the Microtapers, but I found a set, also found all the wedges in JZ shafts as well. I still love my Macgregor's but I had forgotten how easy game improvement clubs are to hit in comparison. The Ping's are super easy. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk The Eye 2's were very easy to hit. At the time I was a 20+ and a horrible ball striker, but they were very forgiving. I played them up until 2004, but when the lofts changed I just didn't like hitting a longer club into a green. I know it doesn't make any difference, but psychologically it bothered me. That was about the time I bought my Macgregors, and while they were less forgiving, they sure felt good when I hit good shots. Last year I reshafted them and strengthened the lofts. The Macs now fly very similar to my Ping i20's. I flip-flop between them depending on turf conditions. deejaid and Rickp 2 Quote “We don’t stop playing the game because we get old; we get old because we stop playing the game.”

I had the MD3 before the Mcdaddy forged and if I`m truly honest I only changed from the MD3 to the forged for 2 reasons none of them reasons were that the performance of the MD3 lacked in any shape or form they are truly awesome. The first reason I changed was that I wanted that forged feel. (After owning them there is not much feel difference, to be honest) And the second reason is that I`m a compulsive spender and have no control over my self...I try to buy happiness..........I will never learn!! Yes, I will report back on the new S18 wedges but I doubt they are any different to the Mcdaddys other than looking good in the bag and matching my Mizuno set. Went through at least a dozen different models, but the CF16s have stuck in my head - despite the fact that reps at two stores said essentially, "No, these are not for you." Well I'm (generally) hitting the ball more solidly now, and am not totally crazy about the PW in my current set so .. why not give it a try?
