This one course I play one of the guys that lives on that hole goes in the marshes with his tall waders on and fishes balls. He has a little stand on the 2nd tee with used balls. Has a coffee can with the honor system. I think it is like 5 balls for $2. We were standing there one day and we wandered over to look and I saw about 5 of those. Now he was there and he is a golfer himself and he told me "You do know those are real old Pro Vs" I told him yep and those are the best. He told me hold on and went to his garage and got 5 dozen told me "give me $10 bucks" I asked are you sure he said yes they were taking up space. He told me no one wants them and I would about pay you to take them. The full name for mine at the beach is "That rusty SOB Scotty" Last December I played in a charity scramble. there were 4 guys all with matching Titleist stand staff bags and the works. All of them had new Cameron putters with the weight kits. My boss was on my team and told me to screw with them. I looked over there and told them I have the perfect weight kit for a Cameron putter as I pulled out one of my medicine bottles of lead tape. Note I said ONE of my bottles of lead tape> I carry 2 as SOP one has the strips in 2 gram increments and the other one at 4. In my defense it was a throw in from the owner when I bought my irons and wedges at NY Golf Center. I do have ample lead tape on my 712u that is in the bag. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy I actually have an 08 or so model staff bag or the old style as it is called. It stayed in the box until 2 years ago when I broke it out. It is pristine now my 2010 is beat to hell and back. I got tired of lugging either one of them and went back to my TEE stand bag because it has the little grab handle on top.
