What Have You Bought Lately? (CHA - Club Ho's Anonymous)

Picked up an Odyssey # 2 White Hot center shaft that needs a new insert. Found a used Adams Red 19 degree hybrid at a 2nd hand store tjhat I hit tonight for the first time.  My first hybrid experince and I think I will like it after I regrip it.  7 dozen golf balls at 3 bucks a dozen brand new from a contractor who boiught them from Home Depot after Black Friday.  Some kind of Bridgestone that will make great practice balls.  

 

On CL I found a guy selling two display boards full of course logo balls from courses his grandfather had played at or at least visited.  186 logo balls in all.  I wanted it for a couple courses in the area that have long   closed so it was worth the 20 bucks I paid for them all. Plus it had a number of courses I played but failed to buy a buy from so I got more than my moneys worth out of it.  

 

Pretty impressive collection from all over the world.

Just scored a brand new 21* Adams Super Proto DHY w/ Matrix Altus hX3 White Tie for $45. Hoping it will launch a bit higher than my MB2 3 iron. The roll and bulge face should also be nice for finding fairways on short par fours. As usual, I checked the MGS archives prior to pulling the trigger.

I bought a hat to use for golf. Now, those that I have played with know that I don't like wearing a hat when I play (Mr Theoo, Barbajo, Rev, Foz etc) but playing down here in Florida my melon was getting scorched. So, I decided to finally buy a hat but I wanted one that covers my ears as well so a baseball cap was out...hell, I've got a ton of those anyway.

 

This is the type that I wanted and was cheap, but I will probably update it with a better quality one later in the year. I know it looks Bret Michaels ish but I don't care.

I'm surprised it hasn't been said so here goes. Bet when you buy a hat like that you get a free bowl of soup. Good idea to cover the melon when spending that much time in the sun. I hate wearing hats but always wear one golfing.

You could probably cut ya out three or four good hats like that out of a burlap bag...     I wear one similar and it's getting close to that time of year.  In fact I will wear it tomorrow in honor of your hat pic post....

I just got on the 2017 CS train and put it in play last week. I was less than impressed but the sample size was small. I'll chalk that one up to winter conditions (even though the conditions were good for winter) but there will be no honeymoon here.

I had some shop credit from tournament winnings last year and recently added the Cobra F8+ with the Project X HZRDUS Yellow 6.5 to the bag  along with Cobra King Pro Black CB/MB irons in the 6-PW with KBS C-Tapers. If you haven't hit the F8 or F8+ yet you need to! It was around 35*F yesterday where I live and I was carrying it 270+ on the range! Also waiting on a 50* Vokey SM7 that I ordered at the beginning of the month and then my 2018 bag will be complete for the tournament season.

I have the Nardo Gray head. Looks amazing. I got super lucky that I was able to walk into a shop and walk out with one in my specs. They were cool enough to swap the shaft with a different head they had in stock to make it work for me. Only adjustment I might make is getting a 16gram weight to throw in the front port
