Very nice!

All of the Knives in my pic are over 50 years old so you know Case makes a great product.

I'm personally a Microtech and Spyderco Guy. Case are more collectible really but the functionality is better for me with the others

Reading this post just reminded me that I forgot to order ferrules for the new c-taper lite shafts I am putting on my irons. Now I will have to wait a few days to install my new shafts... Off to eBay!

It sucks, I have everything I need, I also have 3 baggies of ferrules, but I don't have the ones needed. It was horrible, grail golf eBay store, shipped Tuesday, I have them now, And I ordered extra.

Nothing worse than being one component short of a golf club build. Waiting on that last part is like watching paint dry.

I ordered ferrules from Grail golf yesterday as well. Made sure to get extras too. But they won't get here till Monday, so no club building for me this weekend.

Heck no. I liked it at first but... it wasn't for me. Too much crap going on. Too many lines.

Watched a video about blade putters, make so much sense to me. He was saying that the blade putter design hasn't changed in 50 years. But look at the driver. 460cc... you'd get a weird look if you pulled out a persimmon on the tee, but on the green old blades are the standard. And look most of the best putters in the world use “old” tech.

I've always had either a Case or Buck knife in or close by. Got my 1st Case maybe 1960, in fact it's in the pic I posted, bottom right.

Did you roll any putts with it or just buy it sight unseen? They are good putters for sure if they match your stroke.

Finally heeded TSauer's words and just did it. Paying $30 for a regrip tool hurt my principles but maybe I can recoup some of that selling saved grips.

Already did one and it came off easy as pie. Gonna try a Super Stroke later this week once the new one comes in.

Sent from carrier pigeon using MyGolfSpy

Confirmed. It works well for Super Stroke grips. Took a little bit of effort to get started but was able to get it off unscathed in about 15 minutes.

Patience pays off if you let the solvent work its way down at each level. Eventually you get to the point where the whole grip will spin and you kind of screw it off from there.

Now I've got a nice little collection of perfect condition grips. Gonna take some pics and post a listing.

That's pretty cool. I need one. I've heard I can use my air compressor, but I've also heard I can blow grips to pieces with my air compressor. What did you use for the solvent?

⬆️This.

You can get solvent from all kinds of sources. I like this stuff because it doesn't really have a smell. The needle-shaped tip makes it easier to squirt in the grip once you get a little space. I've also got one that sprays as a spreader for when I'm putting the grip on.

Blowing is a great tool if the grips were blown on to begin with but can be tricky with tape-installed grips. Mpatrickriley talked in another thread about how he got grips off by squirting solvent in the vent hole then follow that up with the air compressor. You can absolutely blow up grips so you just need to be careful not to rush.

Patience pays.

Yeah, that special grip solvent is really good stuff. I've also used the one with the spray tip before. Those make regripping super easy. But I'm kind of cheap so I just use mineral spirits. That seems to do the trick, but definitely not like the spray tip does.

I finished assembly, and they are ready to play. The KBS Black Nickel shafts are sweet to look at, but a pain in the butt to tip prep, unless you have equipment to do it. I usually prep my tips by hand with rough sand paper, takes a bit of time, but I get my hands dirty which I like. The problem with these is you have to also get the playing off in order to get to the step part of the shaft. I needed up using my Dremel with sanding paper to remove it.

I will post pics later.

Air is much faster than those tools and you won't have tape to clean out. Takes about 45 seconds max to pull one. Squirt solvent in and put 15 psi of air blowing constantly until the air blows out the mouth end of the grip. Slides right off. Done
