We currently live out west, and my local course has a number of holes in which the wind is really penal, so I decided to ditch a fairway metal and add a wind cheater.

Have all new standard diameter grips on the way for my full set to replace the MCC+4's. After being fit into my driver and it having a standard size grip diameter put on it, which I like a lot, I've decided to go back to standard across the board to see if I get better feel and control. Also a grip removal tool to help assist me in saving these in case I want to go back to them-they were expensive!

Grips since the Hogan wedges came in with different grips they have mid size that feel different than the pure mid size I am playing so it feels odd to go from one grip size to another.

Just picked up a dozen Srixon Z Star XV golf balls to try. Last round I played, I used one that I had found in the woods. Enjoyed the feel with the putter enough that I figured it may be time to switch up the ball.

 

I may have to update my profile pic if these work out for me. While I have enjoyed the crome softs I still haven't found a ball that has wowed me like the Nike Blacks.

Just picked up a pretty much brand new Scotty Pro Platinum Mil Spec with head cover for $130 at Golf Galaxy in PA. Stopped in for some grips and just could not leave it on the rack for that price.

I used to have a putter problem,  got some good coaching and \while I may put a new putter in the bag every so often it is generally short lived.

Several weeks ago now, I was perusing eBay and typed in Mizuno Wedges. I bought new-in-the-plastic MP-T5 52, 56 and 60 wedge set in satin finish, shipped to my house for $36.

 

I wanted blue or black but for that price I am more than over the satin finish. I looks better longer anyway.

I was bad, really bad buying putters. Had some nice Byron, Scotty's, Nead, Mills. About 5 years ago started selling most of the high end putters off. I still love the looks of the classic blades. Oddly my current putter seeing the most time is a MLA Pro Dream. Not pretty but works.

Your Mil Spec is one of the really nice looking pieces and putts great.

Didnt buy anything, but decided to let go of a putter I'll never use. Traded it for a '17 M2 3 wood with a Project X 5.5. Should be here just in time for league on Monday!

My neighbors golf cart. They are moving and we just decided to join the club so we got a deal on an inexpensive cart.

 

I still plan on walking the course but this will be for driving back and forth to the club.

From what I gather so far, it's been super soft and decently low spin off the driver but spins HARD around the greens. Spun too hard a few times this weekend on chip shots and screwed myself.

Found my ball for the next year or so the 2017 Callaway Chrome Soft X found these for $17.97 dozen tried them on my last round they just work for me. They beat out Vice Pro Plus and bothered the MTB red and black. I spun one back about 15 feet on a wet green just cant seem to remember if it was with a Ben Hogan Equalizer wedge or not...wink wink
