Just upgraded the grip on my M2 driver from the stock grip to the Golf Pride MCC+4.

Also upgraded my Callaway Steelhead 7i from stock to the Winn Dri-Tec X. I'm actually really shocked I went with this grip as I planned on originally sticking with something from Golf Pride. Though I was at GG with my Father-in-law and convinced me to try something different.

Any specific reason you are making the switch?

I have been a fan of the MCC line but lately been considering the CP2 option.

Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy

MCC+4 are just too rough, and I was sent a CP2 to try and review and have liked it. I have to keep my irons in the same swing weight range, so CP2 was also one of only a few grips that didn't have cord, and were pretty much the same weight as the MCC+4.

Yep, similar reason for looking at something other than the MCC+4. It's a love hate relationship with those grips. I tend to grip too hard at times so the rough texture ends up roughing up my fingers.

Did you have any issue with the plastic cap on top of the CP2s?

If I were in the market to buy something right now,

which sadly I'm not,

I would look closely at Callaway's current Steelhead XR metalwoods.

I haven't hit them, but I can tell that I'd like to hit them from the way that they set up.

The 13.5º looks like an ideal compact head driver.

The 16º looks like a great stronger fairway wood.

The 20.5º, if you don't hit hybrids in this loft range, looks like an excellent lofted fairway wood.

But with the 20.5º, you need to lop off .75" in length or it's too upright to match the others.

I haven't, but I don't have them on all of my clubs yet. The one that does have it, I don't notice anything different than any other grip out there.

I was given a case of fresh Bridgestone e7 balls. Anyone have any experience with these?

The only other Bridgestone ball I have used in the past was the e6 soft.

If they are anything like the irons then they are a solid choice. Got the Steelhead irons last year and love them. Considered going with the metal woods/hybrids on and off for months. In the end I stuck with my current Cobra F6 3-4 wood, traded in an older 3 wood I have and went with the Callaway Rogue 4H which I have been overly impressed with.

Handsome tees indeed, 'divot.

Since I tee my ball so low, I usually look for broken ones strewn about the tee box and use them.

I do that on par 3's, but everyone playing plastic tees these days, it's getting harder to find those wooden nubs.

I'm all about using coupons like crazy at GG/Dick's. It's a learned art at times to get certain discounts on certain items/brands. Everything I have bought this year has been discounted in some way.

I am a Physical Therapist and can confirm. Lighter flex allows you to decrease the rotational forces applied to your spine . Newer hybrids are also helpful for this
