McaseyM
Alright Mcasey, I will use you as the expert who recommended the change, as far as new hybrids, hummmmmmmmm. There's a reason that slower swing speeds use a more flexible shaft, so the shaft can do more of the work to make up distance so you don't have to swing (and twist your spine) as hard..... it's physics!! Let her know that it was either that, or super expensive graphite shafts, and now you're set with new clubs and the knowledge and confidence of new clubs.... so win-win for physical AND mental health As for the hybrids.... people tend to hit them better (might wanna heck that against the recent blog posts though) and they make it easier to get the ball in the air, so less practice (stress) on the body to get the long irons to work, so you're actually saving your back. fixyurdivot
Handsome tees indeed, 'divot. Since I tee my ball so low, I usually look for broken ones strewn about the tee box and use them. Yeah, I'm a used tee scrounge as well. I found one of these flag tees this past winter and really liked it. It was really special since our foursome was comprised of two Yanks and two Canadians. I tried to find some of these tees with the Canadian flag as I was going to buy a pack and give them to those guys this next winter season. I've hit hybrids and thought that they were fine. I even bought a couple of Cleveland Halos a while back. I just couldn't find a long term place for them in my bag. Not as comfortable as a driving iron on a scary driving hole. Not as easy as a high loft fairway wood to hit over a stand of trees. But lots of my playing partners love them because the advent of hybrids really did help their games.
