For the last year I have been playing Wilson Staff D300 5W, 4H, and 5H as my long clubs.  I love the 4H and 5H, but the 5W is love/hate.  There are days when I really hit it well, then other days not so much.  Also, on the par 5  #5 hole at my course, there is a slight downhill lie in the zone where I typically hit the ball off the tee.  The Fairway wood just doesn't work for me off that lie.  So...

Last week I broke down and bought the matching 17º 2H to my other hybrids.  The first two times I played with it, I wasn't so sure it was staying in the bag.  I had a tendency to hit off the heel and a low, weak cut shot that didn't go anywhere.  Well, that changed today!  I hit some beauties, and even a few draws which I never did with the 5W. So, the top of my bag is now driver, 2H, 4H, 5H.

Just picked up a WS D300 3W on eBay for $30 bucks!  Can't wait to get that sucker and try it out.

When you go in PGA Superstore for a couple shoe bags and leave with a TS3 fairway, clothes, a new umbrella, bag and some trinkets... SMFH... thank god they’re renovating and don’t have the full selection and preowned... That’s what shopping the day before a golf trip gets you

I hit the i200's at Ping HQ 18 months ago after they came out.  I liked them a lot, but I wasn't in the market for irons at the time.  That's a great deal!!

Well I need X-Stiff shafts in my irons now and was fit for either Modus 120x or LX LZ 6.5.  

To have my JPX Tour 900s reshafted would cost about $400 when all said and done.  So I have been casually looking on ebay for a lightly used set of irons with the shafts I want.

The thing is, I have only been looking for 3 sets - Srixon 765, MP18 SC, or JPX Tour 900s.

Well, I hit the jackpot today as my offer was accepted on a like new set of Srixon 765 irons that meet all of my specs and even have the grips I like!  Didn't think my offer would have been accepted, but here we are!

So now I will put the Srixon 765s up against the JPX 900 Tours for the spot in my bag.

Cleaned out the garage and traded some stuff in for the 585’s. Was certain I was going with the 785s, but there was very little difference in top line appearance, and they were just awesome. Got really good trade in value on my 765s, and a couple fairways that were laying around not getting any use. Kicking myself for buying the i500s. They are good, but not in the same league imho!

She finally came in today and I could not be happier! Immediately took it to the range and was crushing drives. Super excited to continue the bag upgrade. Getting fit for new irons tomorrow at Club Champion.

 

Also to note: This is the driver TrueFit said I should get. So I tried it via GlobalGolf UTry program, loved it, and am now a proud owner of it.

They just opened a PGA SS nearby and luckily my schedule has prevented me from going over there. I’m in the market for another wedge (thinking Callaway MD4 but up for other suggestions). A trip could lead to many other unnecessary purchases.

Just bought a new Directed Force putter. One of the owners did a remote fitting for me and is a good dude. I wanted to see what the hype was about and Bill and I have been chatting about it. I also talked to Sam about the tech as well and he’s another easy to talk to guy. Real gear heads there. Everyone I’ve talked to that’s tried it said the science is real. Couldn’t resist... and can’t wait till it Arrives.

shaped but if it decreases your number of Putts better, who cares?
He told me he’s wanted to MGS to do a review, but hasn’t been able to get them to.
Another forum member started a review, but it sure he’s finished it.

At DICKS yesterday and the only left handed club in the whole store was a demo Callaway Epic with a Hazardous Project X shaft at 50% off. Club was in great condition although it needs a new grip. It's now sitting in my bag and I'm working on getting it dialed in. Early results are VERY nice!

I will say this.. Don't be completely turned off by the review.

I've been playing the 2nd gen 4 piece all year. Love it! Can't say enough about it. That said, my dad has been playing the 3 piece all year. He actually bought them thinking he was getting the 4 piece. Unfortunately he missed the boat and they were all that Costco was offering when he made the purchase. I didn't have the heart to tell him that he bought the wrong balls.. But his slower swing speed didn't have a need for the higher compression of the 4 piece and I figured they'd probably be better than Noodles he's been using. He's really enjoyed them. Additionally, I've borrowed a ball or 2 on occasion and have been pleasantly surprised with their performance. Are they as good as the 4 piece.. No. Are they a good ball for the money. Without a doubt!

Picked this up for very cheap and swapped out the Air Speeder for my favorite shaft, the Diamana Kai'li.  I had to add quite a bit of hot melt as the head was very light but now it's a perfect D2 swingweight at 45".  I'm a sucker for carbon fiber and this head is just beautiful at address.  It sits slightly open which was surprising given the audience it was aimed for.  Can't wait to get it out and hit it.  It has the same hot and great feeling SP700 titanium face that a lot of Japanese clubs use as well as the Mizuno ST and GT drivers.

Bought set of Nippon Modus 3 125 shafts for irons that I already like the setup of.  Guess they'll go in the basement next to the C-Taper S+ shafts I've had for the last 2 years that are still waiting for iron heads to put them in.

But hey, they were a great deal!!
