Problem is Rick, I have a problem. A very serious problem. I have enough left handed supplies for 3 people to play golf with a full set of clubs, and then I still have extras. 

I had same problem but I (we) solved it. We moved from CT to FL and I sold almost all the “backup stuff “ as a promise to War Department.
But I’m building the war chest back up a little at a time.

I purchased this a few weeks back, and put it to use yesterday for the first time. It 100% lives up to the hype!

In a lot of the reviews, there are issues with it not locking-on and folks have to go into scan mode. Any issues so far??? For $500 I can’t believe it has any issues! Crazy.

I've never played them before. Tried the tp5x but had a few fitters tell me they think the ball would work well for me. And for that price...figured why not

Browning my local offer up late last migt for some shafts I came across some stiff shafted Nike VR Pro Combo. 3-pw.  $95. Jumped on a message and went over this morning and snatched them up. I just wanted the shafts and will pull the heads and sell them.  I hope to get my money back on the heads.

I don’t know what happened. I was on eBay casually looking at some Ping i5 irons, thinking maybe I’d dip back into the Ping waters, when I thought maybe I should do a search for forged head sets.

Well, when I saw these I forgot all about the Pings and hit “Buy it Now” as fast as I could!

Goo deal on Tour 360 boost wide.... I have a difficult time finding wide shoes that fit and Adidas are usually pretty good.

Was looking for a shoe that isn't white or black and I kind of like this color pattern.  We'll see how it looks up close when I get it on Friday.

Today I ordered new irons. JPX 919 Forged 5-PW. I’ve been using MP-5s for 5 years. I’ve been resisting a change even though I’ve lost a club length in distance in recent years. I was very skeptical about the strong lofts of most new irons today. I felt the quoted performance numbers were exaggerated for marketing purposes.

I was wrong. I went into the fitting with my current 6 iron to compare against the JPX919 7 iron because they were very close in loft. Not only did the JPX919 7 iron best my current 6 it on most shots matched my current 5. The craziest part was the dispersion was super tight and almost right down the center line on each hit.

Mizuno MP5 VS JPX919 Forged

8 iron: 140 yards VS 160 Yards

7 iron: 150 yards VS 175 yards

6 iron: 160 yards VS 185 yards

5 iron: 170 yards VS 195 yards

Note:

old shaft AMT steel regular flex.

New shaft Project X graphite stiff flex

Had GG re-tip my Aldila Tour Blue driver shaft for G410 from G400. My mileage is varying, and the jury is still out, but initial impressions over the original Mitsubishi Tensei Orange are good. Need to play some more with the hosel adjustments to fine tune it in. Just another experiment to see if it'll help me better translate great range data to better actual play. I also really want to try the PING Tour 65 shaft which I also hear a lot of positive things about. Somethings gotta give. I crush those stupid Pinnacle Practice balls every time and yet it seems I get no more than 200, 210 out there with my Snell's with that damn power-fade being omnipresent. I think the Tensei is just giving me too much side spin. I hope I can tame this beast. I need it!

... Depending on how long you have played and how dialed in your yardages are, it can be tough transitioning to new irons. I got lucky with my Amp Forged irons as they were exactly 4* stronger than my old forged CB's. That made for a pretty easy transition as I just needed one more club. The trouble in paradise comes when they are 2* or 3* stronger and transitioning into long irons can create an even greater or lessor gap. So I certainly understand some that have been playing the same, or at least the same type irons might be reluctant to change, but we all know it is worth it if you are going to a more forgiving iron. Once you dial in the new distances and trajectories, you will as some of our southern members might muse "happy as a pig in sh!t!" 

... Steddygolf, congrats on your new purchase! As CarlH said, I too think you are really gonna like these irons and lets hope this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship.

With regards to stronger lofts ----does it really matter as long as you know how far you hit which iron?   My previous irons were the JPX 850 Forged .... I think you are going to like these irons!

You are correct the stronger lofts don’t matter. The only time they matter is when “marketing” tries to make you think you are hitting a 7 iron 165 yards when in all actuality you are hitting a 30 degree club with 7 stamped on it 165 yards. It’s the intentional attempt to mislead that bothers me.

Gapping is a concern especially between my new 46 degree PW and my old 52 degree gap wedge. My traditionally lofted irons have a 48 degree PW which makes gapping for me pretty much perfect from gap wedge thru lob wedge. The question is, will I need to replace my wedges now to allow for a more consistent gapping pattern? Only time will tell.

Yes, gapping is a problem with modern clubs .... pretty much forces us back to being able to hit half shots again, like we did before they had gap wedges and we went from a 48 degree PW to a 56 degree SW.  My current setup is with a 48* AW and then a 54* SW.  I've become very adept at manufacturing many shots using the AW from 110 to 70 yards.
