Played a couple weeks ago and got caught in a random Hawaiian downpour. The kind where it's sunny, but dumping buckets on you for about 5 minutes. I had a light "rain" jacket that I keep in my golf bag for times like this, but I've never worn it in anything more than a light mist. I got soaked -- completely through to my polo underneath the jacket.

Picked up a Galway Bay half-sleeve jacket last week. It was too big, so I reached out to GB support and much to my surprise, the owner Terry responded to me in about 30 minutes. More impressive, it was like 6pm on the east coast already, but he still took the time to answer my e-mail. He asked for my address, and an exchange was sent to me a few days later.

It's not one of the exciting pickups like a new club, but I felt like writing a short post to comment on how great Terry and Galway Bay treated me. Money well spent, and they've definitely gained a new customer. Before anyone asks, I didn't mention that I frequent MGS, or anything that might've led them to treat me better than the next person -- they're just that good! Nice to see when an OEM/Brand cares about their patrons.

By the way, I hope you don't mind, but I copied your post and sent it to him.   He said it made his day, that he loves seeing things like that.   Nicely done!

Played a round with my new/old set of butter knives. Not sure what drove me to this madness but I recently got an itch to get my hands on an older set of MB blades.

The general theory was to find something smaller in profile to practice with, to help with strike consistency.

Shot 2 over on the front 9 and was at par through 13 before it got too dark. Man what a fun set of clubs to play! Playing with them again tomorrow and can't wait!

2 - PW for $120 and couldn't be happier with the find.

The pics are showing my Maltby DBM for profile comparison.

Ping Sigma 2 ZB2 putter....
Love the feel off the face and really excited about the adjustable length.  I can't believe how important this is...I've tried 33, 34 and 35 inch putters and have never felt really comfortable with any of them.
I was fit into a Scotty Newport 3 and was able to compare that with this one and this beats the Scotty.. hands down.  Important thing is that the toe-hang is exactly the same.  I'm partial to the flow neck and that's why the ZB2 won over the Anser.

This is one of the more subtle and well thought out face groove patterns on the market and it does the job as well as creating the impression of a little worn patch in the center of the face where the grooves are deeper, which makes you like a better putter than you might otherwise be.

The really big difference with the Sigma 2 is something you can't really see and that is the mechanism under the grip that allows you to vary the length of the shaft from 32 to 26 inches in any amount you want.

I love the look of this putter...just never could get the mechanics to work. Hope it rolls well for you.

Picked up a new shaft for my driver, ever since I bought a 3w I´ve felt that my driver shaft have been on the heavy side. Went to the local golf store and tried a few different drivers with different shafts/weights but felt that they were a bit to pricey and better to just get a new driver instead. But then I came across this beauty on Sweden's counterpart to Ebay for a steal. It is a Atmos tour spec 6s and so far it´s great.

Thanks to your recommendation these are the only tees I use now. And that color is easy to find in the grass!

Asking both you and @MattF, did you start with a player's pack to determine what tee height you wanted?

I was going to order another set of Evolve Epoch tees, I have maybe 10 left, as I like the rings on them for getting height roughly the same each time. But they do break eventually, and these look like they would give you the exact same height regardless of tee box condition. My course tends to have a few different mowing heights, some bare dirt, etc., throughout the year so getting exactly the same height is always a challenge for me.

Do you use a short one for irons or just go with whatever you find around on the ground?

Yes I started with players pack probably didn't have to as there were really only 2 that would be close the height I use. They work great no matter what is on the tee as it is very easy to get the same height every time. I use the smallest one for irons and 3w. One added benefit is that there are now only 2 tees in my pocket.

Been looking for a new bag and had some PGASS credit and I was getting a wedge reshafted when I saw this little number on clearance... I try to walk whenever I can and use a push cart and have heard loads of great things about the C130 and I just had to do it.

BONUS: the color scheme will match the badges on my Ping g410s 😁

I recently bought a Sun Mountain Sync, wondering now if I should have gone with the C130. The Sync was specifically designed for push carts. I like the lightweight design, but I will admit the storage is a little lacking compared to my older riding cart bag. I've seen the C130 in person, it's a bit larger, probably has more storage as a result. Love the red/black, it's very sharp.

I will say, I love the full-length dividers and putter well for ease of getting clubs in/out while on the cart. My older OGIO bag had a 14-way top but no full-length dividers and it was a pain to get clubs in/out without sticking when using my walking cart.

The bag seems to have loads of storage and I tried it on a cart at the store and it sat nicely.  I like how the top is angled. It also has a cool feature for riding carts - 2 straps that you can use to hold it upright and in place.

I, too, am coming from an Ogio in which the exact same thing happened to me!

Been keeping on eye out for a hybrid to replace my XR Pro with something that might be a bit more friendly on less perfect strikes (keeping with my theme, since testing the G700s, of swapping clubs into my bag that makes golf easier).
Happened to get on the classifieds of the other forum in time to snag a 19° Rogue hybrid with an Atmos Tour Spec shaft. Best part: the guy was selling it for $50. I think I made out pretty good here.

I don't believe I did. I think I ordered a 200 and a 175 tee. I use the 175 for my driver, a 100 for 3 wood and I actually just bought a pack of 50 short plastic tees for my irons and hybrids.

I think the 175 is the tee to use with a driver unless you tee the ball really high. The 175 will put my M5 head about level with the middle of the ball.

I keep adding the TS-1 heads to my golfworks shopping cart and looking at it. I need the courage to order.

I got a fantastic deal on a lightly used 5-GW set on eBay. Wrong shafts, but I'm going to address that here in the next few weeks.

I have to admit, they are more intimidating than I imagined. Very similar to the Sub70 639 CBs I tested in August, but much smaller than my C300s. Going to be interesting to see how everything works out. I'm excited to get the right shafts in there.

I nearly pulled the trigger on the mmb-17s last week and at the last second jumped on the train to crazy town and bought the Cleveland TA-1 cutlary set. I've got no reason to replace the DBMs because they're such a phenomenal club and realized the MMB-s would just be a lateral move.

The TA-1s are more for practice and novelty. 2020 needs to be a big year for my golf game.

The PTMs are such a clean looking set. Will be looking forward to your feedback on them.

the more I practice, the luckier I seem to get..

The nice part is that the experiment will cost a fraction of what others would have set you back.

check out BB&FCo for custom ferrules as well!

Yes, I'm very excited about the "basicness" of these clubs. They are gorgeous, and I've had enough bad experiences with the cavity badging on the C300s that I'm ready to be done with them.

I have some red Star Sidewinder grips that are going to be going on these, and custom ferrules are a must as well. I've been looking at BB&FCo, Spargo and have my eyes on some on eBay as well. Can't wait to see these all finished.

Star sidewinders are my go-to's! The factory is down the street from my house here in Chandler.

Got myself a Calloway Epic Flash driver today after camping out last night at the local PGA Tour Superstore for customer appreciation day today. Arrived at 10:30 last night and was 7th in line. Got a Ping G410 driver and traded it in for the Epic. Couldn’t pass it up for $30 after trade in!

I haven't bought a new club lately but did find a great deal on a lightly used HZRDUS T1100 6.5 65g.  I've swung 70-80gr shafts in my driver for as long as I can remember.  Wanted to try something in the 60ish range.  I like it a lot so far, seems to be a fairway finder with my 9.5 M3 head.

I was fit for a TM M6 a couple of months ago, I gave it about 6 weeks on the course and it was not for me so I sold it.  The club that was close to it at the fitting was the Epic Flash, I ordered a Mint condition one from Global Golf today and should have my new toy late next week!

My son has going from kids clubs to men’s clubs this year and has already blown past R flex shafts in his driver and 3 wood. He now has a new driver shaft on the way and hopefully he likes the TEE 3 wood I just threw in his bag for the time being. This kid is getting expensive.

Finally added the Ping G410 Plus 12º to my bag of weapons.  Been wanting this since a pre-release testing. I will be using the Alta CB 55 Red Soft regular shaft.  I still need to work out my loft and weight settings.  I will be working with my pro to find out what works best.

I will start out correcting for my hook and a using the loft at 12º.  After a few weeks or so and some top track data, I should have a better idea how I may need to adjust.
