The kind where it's sunny, but dumping buckets on you for about 5 minutes. I had a light "rain" jacket that I keep in my golf bag for times like this, but I've never worn it in anything more than a light mist. I got soaked -- completely through to my polo underneath the jacket. Picked up a Galway Bay half-sleeve jacket last week. It was too big, so I reached out to GB support and much to my surprise, the owner Terry responded to me in about 30 minutes. More impressive, it was like 6pm on the east coast already, but he still took the time to answer my e-mail. He asked for my address, and an exchange was sent to me a few days later. It's not one of the exciting pickups like a new club, but I felt like writing a short post to comment on how great Terry and Galway Bay treated me. Money well spent, and they've definitely gained a new customer. Before anyone asks, I didn't mention that I frequent MGS, or anything that might've led them to treat me better than the next person -- they're just that good! Nice to see when an OEM/Brand cares about their patrons. By the way, I hope you don't mind, but I copied your post and sent it to him. He said it made his day, that he loves seeing things like that. bens197
Ping Sigma 2 ZB2 putter.... Love the feel off the face and really excited about the adjustable length. I can't believe how important this is...I've tried 33, 34 and 35 inch putters and have never felt really comfortable with any of them. I was fit into a Scotty Newport 3 and was able to compare that with this one and this beats the Scotty.. hands down. Important thing is that the toe-hang is exactly the same. I'm partial to the flow neck and that's why the ZB2 won over the Anser. This is one of the more subtle and well thought out face groove patterns on the market and it does the job as well as creating the impression of a little worn patch in the center of the face where the grooves are deeper, which makes you like a better putter than you might otherwise be. The really big difference with the Sigma 2 is something you can't really see and that is the mechanism under the grip that allows you to vary the length of the shaft from 32 to 26 inches in any amount you want. I love the look of this putter...just never could get the mechanics to work. Hope it rolls well for you. Gurra
Picked up a new shaft for my driver, ever since I bought a 3w I´ve felt that my driver shaft have been on the heavy side. Went to the local golf store and tried a few different drivers with different shafts/weights but felt that they were a bit to pricey and better to just get a new driver instead. But then I came across this beauty on Sweden's counterpart to Ebay for a steal. It is a Atmos tour spec 6s and so far it´s great. Yes I started with players pack probably didn't have to as there were really only 2 that would be close the height I use. They work great no matter what is on the tee as it is very easy to get the same height every time. I use the smallest one for irons and 3w. One added benefit is that there are now only 2 tees in my pocket. edingc and MattF 2 Quote Stealth 2+ 9 (Diamana PD 60 S 45") Stealth 2+ 15 (Diamana PD 70 S 43") G425 19 (Raijin 2.0 85x) G425 22 (Raijin 2.0 85x) ZX7 5-9 (KBS C Taper S) Vokey SM9 45 10 F (KBS 610) Vokey SM9 49 08 F (KBS 610) Vokey SM9 55 08 M (KBS 610) Vokey SM9 59 04 T (KBS 610) Spider GT Splitback 34" ProV1 #23 Twitter @THEZIPR23 "One thing Golf has taught me, is that my muscles have no memory." Yes, I'm very excited about the "basicness" of these clubs. They are gorgeous, and I've had enough bad experiences with the cavity badging on the C300s that I'm ready to be done with them. 10 hours ago, bens197 said: check out BB&FCo for custom ferrules as well! I have some red Star Sidewinder grips that are going to be going on these, and custom ferrules are a must as well. I've been looking at BB&FCo, Spargo and have my eyes on some on eBay as well. Can't wait to see these all finished. bens197 1 Quote Unofficial WHS Handicap: 7.5 / Anti-Cap: 13.0 (Last Updated Feb. 19, 2024) Driver: Callaway Paradym TD (10.5°, -1/N), 45.75", Fujikura Motore X F1 6X | Fitting Post 3 Wood: Cobra RadSpeed Big Tour (14.5°), 43", Fujikura Motore X F1 7X 20° Hybrid: PXG 0211 (2020 Model), 40.25", Mitsubishi Tensei AV RAW White 90X 4 Utility: Cobra KING Utility (2020 Model), 38.5", Aerotech SteelFiber i110cw Stiff 5-PW: Ben Hogan PTx Pro, 37" 7 Iron, Aerotech SteelFiber i125cw Stiff | Club Champion Fitting 50°, 54°, 58°: Edel SMS, V Grind, Nippon Modus 125 Wedge| Official Review Thread Putter: L.A.B. jfergus7
Got myself a Calloway Epic Flash driver today after camping out last night at the local PGA Tour Superstore for customer appreciation day today. Arrived at 10:30 last night and was 7th in line. Got a Ping G410 driver and traded it in for the Epic. Couldn’t pass it up for $30 after trade in! Smellis745
I haven't bought a new club lately but did find a great deal on a lightly used HZRDUS T1100 6.5 65g. I've swung 70-80gr shafts in my driver for as long as I can remember. Wanted to try something in the 60ish range. I like it a lot so far, seems to be a fairway finder with my 9.5 M3 head. DawgDaddy
I was fit for a TM M6 a couple of months ago, I gave it about 6 weeks on the course and it was not for me so I sold it. The club that was close to it at the fitting was the Epic Flash, I ordered a Mint condition one from Global Golf today and should have my new toy late next week! ole gray, Golfspy_CG2, jfergus7 and 3 others 6 Quote Driver - Rogue ST Max Woods - Rogue ST Max 3, 5 & 7 Woods Irons - Rogue ST Max Wedges - Zipcore RTX 6 50° CBX2 54* & 58* Putter - Evnroll ER2 Rangefinder - NX-10 Slope Ball - Pro Tour Drip Bag - Xtreme Cart 7.0 Bag Heather/Red/White
Jmikecpa
My son has going from kids clubs to men’s clubs this year and has already blown past R flex shafts in his driver and 3 wood. He now has a new driver shaft on the way and hopefully he likes the TEE 3 wood I just threw in his bag for the time being. This kid is getting expensive. DrMJG
Finally added the Ping G410 Plus 12º to my bag of weapons. Been wanting this since a pre-release testing. I will be using the Alta CB 55 Red Soft regular shaft. I still need to work out my loft and weight settings. I will be working with my pro to find out what works best. I will start out correcting for my hook and a using the loft at 12º. After a few weeks or so and some top track data, I should have a better idea how I may need to adjust.
