Just think, there are a few hundred head covers above the putters. I will be at a support group in the near future.

... Did you say some new P790's? Epoxied them yesterday with a new GAPR Mid, so I just gotta cut the shafts and install the grips now that I am moving around like a human being again. 🤗

... Thanks, I already have Recoil 95's and 110's in s-flex as well as Recoil Prototype 95's in r-flex so I bought some Steelfiber i95's in r-flex per the recommendation from Aerotech. I tried a set of i95's in s-flex when they first came out and found them too stout for my swing and went to Recoils and never looked back. Thought I would give Steelfiber i95's another chance in r-flex since they are so wildly popular on the Champions and LPGA Tour, obviously m much closer to my game than the PGA guys. I hope to get out to Phoenix by the beginning of February so I will certainly post my thoughts after a few weeks of playing. Hopefully I have the Cobra Xtreme driver and 5 wood by then too.

When I was at the Fitting for the G410 I did hit a P790 7 iron because it was the only LH head 1’ flat. I loved that 7i!
If, maybe somewhere down the road I’m looking for new irons the P790 is my 1st look.

Hemmed and hawed for a bit, but just pulled the trigger on these shoes for Kirke:
s-l1600.jpg
It'll be his first pair of real golf shoes. He'll be excited because they're Rickie's shoes. I'm happy that his feet won't be soaked through every time we play a dew-sweeping round.
They were new on eBay (from a PGA seller) for $35. More than I like to pay for kids' shoes (I'm cheap), but he'll be thrilled.

Wait until you two can share shoes. It was a great two months with my 13 year old that grew out of two pairs last season. Unfortunately both pairs are too big for me :(

Will do, first mini test run with it yesterday was surprising.    As you might notice I have the pillars set up to help promote an in to out swing as I tend to be out to in.   I started with little 9 to 3 swings with a 7 iron.   Much to my delight but also dismay was my biggest issue wasn't the out to in, the guides helped with that, but the fact I was hitting severely behind the ball.  The is was easily identifiable as I was making contact on the plastic as opposed to at the ball which was lined up just behind that yellow line you see.   I made some adjustments to my address and concentrated on holding my release a bit longer and hit some nice crisp shots.

I did eventually take some full swings with it, and again caught the plastic a couple times, so it serves a great reminder to make whatever adjustments needed to hit the ball first.  But I didn't hit one of the pillars once, so that is a good thing as far as my path is concerned.

Yeah, I've done the water bottle method, but I got tired of chasing them 20 yard down the range and getting pelted with balls 🙂  These stay feathered to the base and only go about 8 inches away.

I have always wanted a JT Style flow neck Scotty X5 but the $600 price tag is hard to swallow.  So with that in mind,  I just purchased an extremely used Scotty Cameron X5 Dual Balance putter.  I have a local guy that can weld a flow neck on it for me but I still need to figure out where to send it to have the dings taken out and have it refinished.  I went dual balance for the extra headweight in case the dings caused a substantial loss in weight.  Im also thinking about picking up a UST Frequency Filtered shaft for it.  Hopefully I can come in well under the $600 price tag and have something exactly how I want it.

I ordered the third of my three Vega V-06 wedges, the 50*! Finally! Stoked to be able to complete the set, and looking forward to getting them on-course after seeing the performance at the range. I’ve never hit a better feeling wedge- ever! Seriously! Vokeys, Cleveland, Mizuno, even my beloved Edels don’t even come close to the feel of these.

If there is interest I can take some pictures and do a full “review” of my experience.

Of course! Looking forward to it. I’ve done a couple fittings with their reps and have enjoyed each one!

By the way, the rep here gave me his business card... A poker chip ball marker! Make sure to ask for one!

I will. A buddy of mine is a PXG staffer and set up the fitting for me at Liberty National through their regional guy. Should be a load of fun and my wife has said spend whatever it costs to get what I want.

Should I also review what I have to buy for SWMBO? I may get the first set of PXGs for $20k +. There was surely a plan on her part.

Of course! I’ve been married for 52 years and yes there’s always a “Master Plan”.
