Nice, Evnroll is on my list of brands to add to the collection.

I was a tester for the Evnroll Midblade Black.  Loved the roll but couldn't make a putt to save my life.  The 1.2 feels so much more comfortable to me and I was sinking left to right bedroom 8 footers over lunch.

This showed up today as well. Brand new and a hair under $200. For that price I figured I’d give it a whirl against the unbeatable XXIO. Garage golf - head to head tonight. This club is harder to sneak into the house.

I had the original JGR and that is why I took flier on this. Loved that club so I sold it. I’m about to hit the garage range so I’ll have a better idea soon.

I have not yet received the entire set; it is being shipped. I was provided a test build 7-iron to confirm the build was correct before shipping. Here are more photos of the 7-iron. The shaft is a Mitsubishi Kuro Kage 60g.20200406_135003.jpg20200506_195544.jpg20200506_195618.jpg20200506_195556.jpg

Thanks for doing that. Like I said, I just love them, and they look very "playable" from your pictures.

I  realize this might be a hard question to answer, but if they were to take the place of a club in, lets say the Mizuno lineup, which would it be? Maybe there is another iron you'd compare them to as far as playability and forgiveness?

I'm thinking a Tour CB of some kind...

Well, this is the first new iron set I have ever purchased (been playing 50 years and currently a 2.8). I buy used sets that are several years old. As a result, I cannot compare with newer models. However, I currently play Cobra S2 forged cavity back, which in comparison to the ORKA, are extremely heavy. I've also played Srixon i701 forged cavity back and the ORKA (at least the 7-iron) is far more forgiving than the i701's. The ball come off the clubface very soft; not a firm feeling strike.

I was fit to create more clubhead speed and get the ball higher in the air. As a result, my ORKA build is 1° flat and extremely lightweight at 60g and C-9. It is far easier for me to draw the ball than with my current Cobra S2 set.

Sorry for the length and probably didn't answer your question.

No, you did great, and actually made me think about about my own recent change in my setup. I went to a lightweight graphite shaft with a flat lie angle also.

I'm not at your skill level, but I wanted exactly what you mentioned. More club head speed and a higher ball flight. It's funny, when I first made the switch, I thought my tempo had gotten too quick, and I was losing control(?) of the club during my swing. The pro at my club laughed, and said "No, You're swing is better, and what you're feeling now is the shaft loading the way you want it to."

Thanks for taking the time to talk.

Reshafted my sim max hybrids with steel shafts, nippon zelos 7 hybrid shafts. Was not fit for them, never tried them, but love nippon shafts. Cut the hybrids pretty short, the 4 hybrid is about one inch longer than my 5 iron, going for control, don’t care about distance as long as the gapping is reasonable.
