Got the new Garmin Approach G62.  Played the first three rounds with it and had 49% battery life remaining after the 3 rounds.  Huge improvement over the Approach S60 in terms of battery.  Caddie feature was cool until it started telling me to use a hybrid off every tee because the driver was so bad.  I didn't think the wind function would be a big deal but it is nice.  Scrolling thru hazards is a major improvement.  Also nice to see heart rate as you go.  I've got ice in my veins.

It was between this one and the double wide; ready for all the MOI I can get.  Plus the "S" version has a little toehang for my slight arcing stroke.

Got my iphone 5s, loaded up Arccos Caddie, activated my 90 day free trial and ready for my first round with it on Saturday!
I've been practicing with it in my pocket and it's reached the point where it is barely noticeable. the 5s is small (4") and thin; I have heard not-so-good things about the Android app so I went with the iPhone version. Hoping it pays off!

I've not really had any issues with using Android with Arccos other than battery drain and still have enough to play 18. I upgraded phones a while back and now that's to a minimum. My biggest complaint is Arccos not having the social aspect for Android and I've mulled the idea of buying an iPhone just for that reason. Looks like you had a good idea going that route, I hope you really enjoy it. The data is absolutely helpful and sometimes humbling.

That's nice! Odyssey is one of those putters that I can just pick up in the store and just flat out roll. Now, on the course it might be a different story. Best of luck with it!

Just got my Boonie hat in today, it's a little more olive than I expected, but I think it'll do the job of keeping my ears and neck from frying. Makes me feel a little like@MattF but not as fashionable.

Not a club but picked up a pair of Oakley golf sunglasses. I know next to nothing about sunglasses and normally buy the 2 for $20 at the mall, but these are supposed to enhance contrast on the course so i thought i would give them a try.

Oakley has what is called “Asia” fit. At first, i was like this sounds racist. But after i learned more about what it meant in terms of differences in the sunglasses were, it made sense. Just got them today and these are the best damn fitting sunglasses i have ever put on.

Oakley is $ for glasses. Best ones I’ve ever had and have had them for about 7 years. Got new lenses for them on amazon this year can’t beet them.

Uggh, after looking at the glasses I receive, they don't appear to have the Prizm Golf lenses that I ordered. My lenses have no pinkish color/tint to them at all. They look like the regular lenses.

Yeah, looking at pic they are not Prizm Golf Lenses. 

If/When you get it straightened out get the Prizm Golf DARK. Not dark at all and much better on sunny days.

Oakley is great had broken frames a few months after buying replaced no issues good luck

While I am a bit salty about the Oakley mistake, happy that my Greyson polos came. Got a good deal, ended up being less than $35 each after tax. I've never bought any of the higher end golf polos (nothing higher than Nike). Wow, these have a luxurious and comfortable feel.

I rolled quite a few putts with that model at the local shop right after it came out. I think you'll love it. Balanced perfectly in my mind.

It's so blatantly obvious that the Android version was an afterthought, but it's kind of understandable. It's hard to create an app that runs on all the various flavors and OEM versions of Android. But it's also 2020 get you some better coders. Also, the "social" aspect is nothing worth talking about.

Since being forced to switch to iOS for work, I can definitely say that the Apple version is far superior. The iPhone XS I'm using barely gets half of the battery eaten in a full 18, while texting and browsing IG between shots.

I'm glad I let the Mrs talk me into getting this colorway along with the all white, these are like walking on pillows. Hopefully they don't feel weird to swing in. Ugly feet pic for @THEZIPR23 :

Those look awesome, and from the look of the sole, really comfortable. I can't tell from the picture, are they spikeless or do the have Softspikes?

I think some of the issues may be brand-specific. I use an old Huawei without a sim card and battery life is great. I can play 18 on a full charge and still have ~70% battery left after the round. The battery life on that phone was always outstanding, though.

As @yungkory said, it's little irritating that so many apps are so bad on Android, but the reasons are somewhat understandable, but at some point consumers need to stop accepting that excuse. When I had nothing but Apple devices for my last job, I hated them, but I think most of that was company-made software that sucked, souring my overall taste of the brand. If/when my youngest daughter gets a new phone, I may steal here iPhone 8 and try it with Arccos just to see if the experience is any better.

My daily use phone is and always has been Android. A couple of years ago I went with Pixel and haven't looked back; I figured that since Google is the developer of Android then I'd be as close as I can get to the source.  

There were 2 reasons I chose iOS over Android for Arccos though.

1- as you guys said; when you have a single OS you know what to expect and how to develop for it. When you have all of these different flavors of Android around there are so many bugs and issues to resolve that it no longer becomes cost-effective to have the app run at it's optimal potential. So Android gets a vanilla version.... or something like that and Apple gets the good stuff. 

2- the primary reason is SIZE. the iPhone comes in 4" screen sizes which gives the phone itself a small footprint. I tried to find a small Android phone -- one with a similar size. I found one or two and only one that I would 'trust' - the Sony phone from years ago. I had it for a while but it no longer updated Android versions so I switched. If I have to keep this thing in my front pocket I want the smallest and lightest one I can use. If my Android phone was as small as the iPhone I'd probably use it but I guess everyone wants BIG HUGE PHONES now.

I know there's the Apple watch option but my family lives in the 'Droid world so that's a non-starter.

There's a simple solution to this - bring the dang belt sensor to market !!!!

Have had mine out for one round but have been hitting putts indoors with it this week. I like the firm face. Don’t get a lot of feedback on off center strikes. Not sure if that is the grip or the BGT shaft. Not necessarily a bad thing, just not a preference.

I do like the putter.

Soft spikes. One huge one under the heel, and a few towards the toe. Very comfortable walking on the tile in the house, excited to try them on the course tomorrow!

That's the thing, I had a Pixel which is about as vanilla as you can get in terms of Android, AND IT WAS WORSE. My friend had an S10 and it worked better on TouchWiz or whatever Samsung calls their Android version/launcher.
