Had a fitting Tuesday for a hybrid to fill my gap between 5i and 5w.  Titleist TS2 at 21 degrees turned out best so I ordered it.

Tried a couple of hybrids in the past but never worked for me.  Both the TS2 and SIM were easy to hit but the Titleist was more consistent.

I just bought a basically brand new set of Nike Pro Combos 4-AW, original S300 shafts and nike grips, with a Nike Method Matter putter for $300 on a local FB ad. I'm playing P790's but I couldn't pass this deal up. I always wanted to try them out but never pulled the trigger.

I’ve been using Tacki- Mac non-tapered jumbo grips on my woods and irons for about a year now and they’ve worked great. When I decided to switch to a mallet style putter I put one on it as well and my putting has never been better. It feels very natural.

Got fitted recently and have swapped out almost my entire bag. 

1. Callaway mavrik pro 4-PW irons custom specs
2. Edel custom wedges (48*, 53*, 58*)
3. SeeMore Platinum mTRI Mallet putter
4. Kept my Ping G410 LST but upgraded to a KBS TD shaft
5. Haven’t played a three wood in a while, the Raijin shaft fit me perfectly so trying it in a Srixon zf85 three wood for now but will be likely swapping it into an Exotics 220 EXS four wood (16.5)

I did all of this for a net cost to me (including the fitting!) of $350 by selling off all of my old clubs. Kept my wife pretty happy that I got a bunch of clubs out and it kept me busy for the last couple months working the best prices I could find. LMK if you are looking for any deals on KBS shafts, Callaway irons... I got great prices on those specifically. 
 

Can’t wait to get to practicing this week with these new sticks!!

I have a new chipper arriving tomorrow.   Heck I might even take some time and write a little review on that puppy.  I've been to a David Peltz short game school, several golf instructors over the years, and even my wife has tried to straighten my ole arse out, but I still suck at chipping.  Hell I'd probably break the single digit mode now and then if it wasn't for my chipping.  If I had a sign it would read Captain Yip. Anyways if this new tool brings some relief, I'll be happier than a rabbit on a fresh head of lettuce.

Is USPS flat rate to Hawaii the same as lower 48 flat rate? In general, not meaning specific to golfdiscount.com.

I ordered a new head cover, and Garsen Quad Tour Proto non-tapered grip for my SeeMore M5HT. I had tried the grip a couple months ago and pulled it off, but after talking with Cody Hale at SeeMore this past Friday, we decided it might help what I have going-on right now with my stroke, and might help me get a more consistent grip on the club.

I found out we have a store in Watkinsville 2.5 miles from my home.  I hopped in my pick em up truck and drove over there.  Sign in the window said not open to the public until further notice.  I caught a Lady coming back from lunch and she tried to get them to sell me a pair on the outside.  Well that didn't work out so she said order them from the web site. There is free shipping for orders over $25.00 and my shades cost $49.00.  Now it will be interesting on how long it will take my order to move 2.5 miles up the road. 

 

 

 

Edit:  I forgot to update the time frame for which my sun glasses arrived from 2.5 miles away.   Bought em on a Monday and they arrived on a Thursday.  Lightening fast huh

I get my eyes examined every year. 2 years ago I saw his Tifosi case and there was some great looking sunglasses. Being a sucker for “nice new stuff” I bought a pair, couple months later a 2nd. They are really nice. Price was reasonable, maybe $45-$50.

I made the change. No regrets getting 2 dozen for less than 1 dozen Pro V.

I picked up a pair of the Tifosi Seek FC from the Pro Shop yesterday morning, headed straight to the first tee and proceeded to chunk every approach shot on the first 4 holes. Took them off and hit everything fine afterward.

Planning a controlled test at the range this evening to determine if the issue was genuine lens refraction distortion _or_ just a really strange start to my round.
