Agreed. It’s all too common hearing someone tell our DOI or even post on here, “I hit the ball to high” when in fact most don’t hit it high enough.  
 

You are correct, spin can be our friend   Now i could stand to hit it a bit higher as well with driver and irons to an extent as well.  But i would think at a 88-90 mph swing 2600-2700 spin and 16 launch would be good for me. But i tend to creep over 3,000.  However some changes in my swing path are helping with that.

I’m looking forward to my Titleist Thursday fitting this week, for the TSi Testing

Agreed. It’s all too common hearing someone tell our DOI or even post on here, “I hit the ball to high” when in fact most don’t hit it high enough.  
 
You are correct, spin can be our friend   Now i could stand to hit it a bit higher as well with driver and irons to an extent as well.  But i would think at a 88-90 mph swing 2600-2700 spin and 16 launch would be good for me. But i tend to creep over 3,000.  However some changes in my swing path are helping with that.

Huh, the 88-90, 16’ launch and 2600-2700 spin is almost exactly what I had the last time I was on a LM.

If I can figure out how to get my spin up to around 2500 consistently, life would be great.

No comment on how low my spin was last time I was on Trackman  (not low in a good way). My swing has improved since then though, no more snappers, so I am sure my spin has increased some.

... Obviously the Pros have higher swing speeds but if most golfers saw just how high they hit the ball on tour, they would be pretty amazed. I talked about playing with the longest hitter I ever saw routinely driving the ball 350-375 and his trajectory was so high I would lose the ball in flight. Unless you are producing excessive spin and a ballooning flight, it is almost impossible to hit the ball "too high". (those that live in consistent insanely windy locations are the exception)

I think Bryson is hitting his big drives these days with about a 150 foot apex. Does that sound about right?

if i don’t focus on de lofting my clubs at impact i’m in the “too high” camp

last lesson, my 2i was about 185ft in the air when i found myself coming in with just a little added loft.

It’s ridiculous. Hands down the best I’ve ever hit and I wasn’t swing all that fast. Average 97mph SS

Launching average 12, spin 2500, carry 245 total 272

Biggest surprise, smash factor was consistently 1.52. NEVER SEEN THAT BEFORE.

The lowest I saw was 1.47

This is going to be a great test!!!

No. The fitter didn’t even want to try it. Said there was no way I’d get more from it and probably would spin and launch a bit too high. The TSi3 is one very good looking club!

I think you will enjoy hitting them. The titleist fitters are great and it’s nice to hit outside with real pro v’s on a range with trackman. No knock on the indoor fitters, but being able to see the results makes a huge difference IMO
