... Us Am's will not be able to tell any difference between a Handcrafted Even Flow and a mass produced Even Flow. Maybe and that is a big maybe, the difference between 2 handcrafted shafts if you want to replace one or add one to another club could be ever so slightly tighter in measurable but again, just not noticeable to 99% that play one. Just a great shaft if it fits your swing. Mid everything and does it very well with a nice, smooth feel. For $70 that is a steal imo.

Thx for the good input @chisag ! To your point, I know pretty well enough not to judge the shaft book by it's literal cover until actually giving it a good few rounds of testing  Hell one of my favorite shafts STILL and even after testing the Fujikura MotoreX is the UST ProForce V2 which I took out of my driver and is now in the Adams. The profiles of the 2 seem fairly similar so I'm having high hopes for the PX.

All else fails with the PX, I just swap it for the V2. I've also got a Diamana Kai'li 75g XS 3 wood shaft in the garage that I'm itching to put in something.. so who knows?

Test fit my clubs and cart in the back last night. They both fit without removing anything or putting the back seats down...that now has me thinking I may end up with one as well.

The wife and I both drive Kia forte's and the trunk space is very cramped, I still can fit my clubs and cart inside my trunk, but it is a tight squeeze, I am making the move to a pickup truck in the next couple of years, as for her's we are going for an SUV, so we  should be getting a lot cargo space, regardless of which car we are driving.

You would think it should be, but in a recent fitting i had, i had asked the fitter about different settings, and he kept mentioning that if i change the settings out of the standard setting now, it might cause me issues when i work on improving my swing. He made it sound like changing the settings might encourage me to ingrain a poor swing, which doesn't really make sense to me. I guess you could consider changing the settings to be somewhat of a slight bandaid, but i don't think to the extent the fitter was implying.

Ok I did actually spend $$ the other day on a putter fitting .. way way way worth it - even though I walked out with my exact same putter!

They have a Quintic system, and the fitter checked everything on the putter itself and then on me rolling 7, 3 and a few 20 foot putts. He showed me where the cluster of impacts on the face were .. and then suggested moving just a teeny bit back.

We repeated everything and he happily stated your putter is just fine for you .. and now you're hitting everything really close to the center of the face.

So I got _me_ adjusted

Well lets be VERY clear about something.. I'm not actually driving that far. The 3 wood just sets me up better for a more controllable approach.

Yes, it was part of the fitting. However, my limited experience is that the head I get is never identical to the test head. So far it's close, but not the same, and that's probably because my swing is not totally repeatable.

Hey man, distance for show.. disbursement for dough. as far as I'm concerned, a 300 yd drive is still just a campfire story if you can't keep it on the fairway and convert that up and down or at least hit GIR. This is why the short game is the great equalizer. (and such is the gospel of Stu)

I would rather have the distance problem lol. Unless we are saying that the distance causes me to be so wild that i hit a large percentage of shots OB or requiring punch outs.

... Here is the thing Stu. Everyone is capable of crafting a great short game if they put in the time. Everyone is not capable of 275yd drives let alone 300 yds and longer. So while I agree with you amigo, the short game is the great equalizer but distance is king, especially when you combine it with a great short game.

oh no doubt, the 2 combined is a winning combination for anybody. I think I'm more-so speaking for myself.. and this person you speak of who has both a dialed in short game paired with the long game.. sir, is not me .  I would tout my distance game as reasonable but by no means is it excellent. For the times that my driver just goes all to hell (and it does), it's my short game that ends up bailing me out. Additionally, when the driver's just going off the rails, I'll either A) dial it way back to regain the control or B) bench it and use the 3 wood. Yes I'm losing the distance, but I'm also usually able reel my game back in and salvage my round. Is it optimal.. no, but it works when needed. I've been schooled plenty of times by guys who aren't as long off the tee but are razor sharp from a good fairway lie.. while I'm off hitting over trees from the adjacent fairway rough and I'm saying.. "man I wish I had that guy's lie"   

In a perfect world, every drive is 300 yds, on the fairway, and approach shots within 10' from the pin.. and I'm playing scratch golf. We're far from that world unfortunately.

... 6 dozen Bridgestone B-RX golf balls. Actually I just found out I won a years supply of Bridgestone balls. I fill out surveys for Golf Datatech and kinda figured the enter your email to win kinda deal at the end of the surveys was suspect but evidently not. I also guess someone that plays every Saturday might find 6 dozen balls "a years supply" but I play 3-6 times a week so not quite a years supply for me since I start every round with a new ball. Not complaining of course because 6 dozen Bridgestone balls for free is even better than than buying 5 dozen TP5 Pix PRACTICE balls for $100.

LOL, when wintering in Phoenix I play 7 times a week.   Two winters ago I played 111 out of 121 days. Several days I was gonna not play and give my body a day off ... but then I would wake up and the weather would be 85* with crystal clear blue skies and an opening for a single at twilite and there went my day off.

I know the feeling.  We'll be in Palm Springs in January.  The following January I think we are headed back to Phoenix; my wife's brother lives in Surprise.

Just curious, do you rent/lease in Phoenix or own a place? We love that area and will be looking for a nice winter place next year.

... I rented a house and the year before rented a townhome. But this year I am looking to buy a permanent home there.
