808nation
What did you like about the Motore X shaft? How did it differ from the Ventus. Was it a Motore X F3 aftermarket shaft? Got to hit my brother’s new to him 0811 XF gen 2 vs my Speedzone today on a sim. My best drives of the day came with the speedzone, but the Ventus is a much better fit for me than the HZRDUS smoke in the PXG. The earth didn’t move when I hit the PXG, but I’ll give them props on sound and feel. My brother is going to love that thing. Now I just need to get him to use the head over and NOT swing it over concrete. He was very happy to have it delivered today and not lost in the mail. Haha I will def swing it at the range and prob a ball or two on the course. Seems like it’s going to be very playable for him. Also got to hit the Radspeed Xb with a Motore X.... what a smooth feeling shaft... might have to keep an eye out on one of those. PING G425 LST felt great and sounded pretty solid, but I wasn’t connecting with it well. Might revisit that too. TSi3 was not the right loft for me, but it sounds awesome. I’ll hit a few more over the winter I’m sure, but so far I can’t see taking the Speedzone out of the bag. But that Motore X... that could be in contention! Was it a Motore X F3 aftermarket shaft?Sent from MyGolfSpy mobile I can’t really say too much other than it felt good. Very smooth. It was a 6s versus myVentus 6x, but it didn’t feel whippy (I’m borderline S/X guy). It was the F3. I’d like to try the F1 too. I may have a problem here Needless to say I've got a taste for a slightly vintage make. Ultimately I've been looking for a slightly larger 3 wood but more of a driver alternative. When I play with my dad, we're usually playing 2 tees forward so I'm finding that a lot of courses put the trouble right about where my drive lands. If I can get a full swing but cut about 20 yds off, that would be optimal. 13.5* should hopefully do the trick. Additionally when I'm playing with my buddies and am playing a tight course or my driver just isn't behaving, this would still give me enough yardage to not put me in the dog house on my 2nd shot. The profile is just what the doctor ordered! I've been looking for this specific club in this condition for quite some time and this thing's minty! The shaft has been lying around just waiting to be paired with the right club. I'm REALLY hoping that this will be the magic combo. Nice pick up! When I started getting into golf more, this was the first club I bought brand new. My bag was compiled of used clubs and only had an old Mizuno 4W that I struggled with like crazy. It was right before they released the F7 line so the price-point at DIck's was perfect. My only problem was that I didn't think enough about the shaft and ended up with a regular flex which caused struggles in the beginning. I could hit it far, but direction/accuracy struggled. Ended up upgrading to a stiff flex which made a big difference. Still in my bag today and is tied for the oldest club in the bag! I remember trying one of these at the time and it's been one of those "memorable" clubs that I've always had my eye out for. I just haven't come across any in decent shape until this one and this is nearly new. I took this to the range yesterday and man is this thing a beast! With loft at 13.5*, the weight at the back, and a lower launching shaft like the Diamana Kai'Li, the trajectory, flight, and distance are just what I had hoped for. Will be very curious to see what the on-course performance is with a TP5X ball. Without going into yardages, it looked to be about 20 yds short of my driver which is perfect for a driver alternative. Very forgiving and hot off the face too. This thing's definitely a keeper! Would be interesting to see how it matches up to a 2021 FW with similar specs. edingc, MattF, Ronoc and 2 others 5 Quote PXG 0311 Gen 5 9°/ Fujikura MotoreX F1 6X F6 3 Wood 14* / Kuro Kage Silver 65X F8 6 wood 20* / Fujikura MotoreX F3 6S RADSpeed Hybrid 24* TS1 4-GW / FCM Precision 6.5 Rifle TSW Wedge - 56/12 EAS 1.0 / Grip master 2.0 MAXFLI Tour CG

My irons are all S+, I usually play a S in woods just to help keep my tempo in check, and then driver has been S+-X depending on the shaft profile. When I was fitted over the phone with Fujikura, the recommendation was the 6X F1. I've always liked the overall SW and feel of a mid 60g shaft. I would say that the feel of the 6X is closer to a S but the actual bend profile and performance are XS for sure. Butter smooth without any noodle action at all. The load and release are very active but not anything out of control. I'd say that my regular "stock swing speed is around 108-110 mph with a fairly smooth transition and a pretty decent amount of lag before letting it rip. When my timing and rotation are off, I can slow my swing way down to the lower 100's to help get things back in order and still get the same feeling and performance. I have a friend who swings around the 120's pretty consistently. He's tried the shaft and says the exact same thing so this shaft seems to have a very broad range for its performance abilities. cksurfdude, edingc, MattF and 1 other 4 Quote PXG 0311 Gen 5 9°/ Fujikura MotoreX F1 6X F6 3 Wood 14* / Kuro Kage Silver 65X F8 6 wood 20* / Fujikura MotoreX F3 6S RADSpeed Hybrid 24* TS1 4-GW / FCM Precision 6.5 Rifle TSW Wedge - 56/12 EAS 1.0 / Grip master 2.0 MAXFLI Tour CG

Can't complain about anything else with it. Feels good in the hand and when you get enough water on it seems to clean nicely. It just simply makes my hand sore to have to use so much force. I have been in automotive assembly for nine years and the repetitive motion kills hands. @mr.hicksta is on his second one, and he very generosity gifted me one and neither of the 3 had this issue, definitely just got unlucky. I'm sure the guy will do right by you, he seems like a cool dude from what I've heard. On 2/6/2021 at 4:17 PM, blackngold_blood said: Picked up a Ventura Blue 5s velocore. The blue rdx is a counterbalanced shaft that is supposed to be an improvement in feel over the hzrdus/smoke yellow versions. The ventus has an aggressive taper and will play and feel different. The ventus has a very stiff tip. The ventus blue is designed for a mid spin/mid launch of course that’s kind of relative since there’s no industry standard for what’s considered low, mes, high launch or spin and will vary for everyone based on their aoa, face to path, etc. The rdx is designed as low/low and usually is a better fit for smooth transition type golfers. To add on to my post the smoke black rdx may be a closer fit to the ventus lineup due it not being counterbalanced while being a low/low. The ventus from what I recall has a softer handled with a stiff midsection and then the tip being extra stiff. The blue rdx wilL be stiff in the butt and tip and soft in the middle MattF and RollingGreens 2 Quote Driver: PXG 0811 X+ Proto w/UST Helium 5F4 Wood: TaylorMade M5 5W w/Accra TZ5 +1/2”, TaylorMade Sim 3W w/Aldila rogue white Hybrid: PXG Gen2 22* w/AD hybrid Irons: PXG Gen3 0311T w/Nippon modus 120 Wedges: TaylorMade MG2 50*, Tiger grind 56/60 Putter: Scotty Caemeron Super Rat1 Ball: Titleist Prov1
