My off season has been a bit upside down so I’m really late with getting ready for the new season. It’s never really too late to work on putting anyways, right?

Received a Puttout trainer and mirror a couple of days ago and am definitely looking forward to getting to work with them.

You have a chance to use the mirror yet? I'm getting my "mini" on Sunday to use with my Puttout.

Funny story, I was at the course today and all of the holes on the putting green were being used so I just took out the Puttout and used it on the green. One of the teaching pros came and asked if it was like a stimpmeter.. I had to immediately flush all of the smart @$$ comments out of my brain as I was clearly putting towards it as a makeshift hole..

But she had never seen or heard of it. Kind of took me by surprise because on the forum they seem like a putting staple.

I did take a few swings over it to check it out. Definitely helped me see that I leave my face a touch open at contact.

Going to re-shaft my X2 Hot Pro 20* hybrid with AD-DI 95X that was originally in it back when I got it in 2014. Ordered the shaft today.

So I lost my damn mind, starting a couple of weeks ago. Let me tell the story: 

Got an email from the frozen over bots at Callaway during the Austin snow storm and saw this awesome old Steelhead Plus 3 wood with an EI-70 shaft in it for 8.47. Now, just because you see one thing, doesn't mean you need to hang out. So, moments later, I see a Rogue Sub Zero, Tensei Blue X stiff shaft, with tool and original headcover for 167. Well bag it up and I'm out the door. Two days later at the local golf shop (why am I there?) I score 3 Ben Hogan Belts, 3 Nike Belts, an Adidas Belt and a PING Sunday bag, all for $60. Crazy, right? Well then at the same time, they let me try this Odyssey 7s EXO, and I hate putters that look like this. I have always played an Anser 2 style since I started the game, but its like this other putter is blessed by God himself. I tried a couple of other 7 style putters and its like I can't miss.

Well, that can't just leave your mind and then you start looking into putters like that and you have been blown away by Wilson recently, and...well! A Bucktown style Infinite putter? It really is important to keep them in the game, and oh? 20% off if I provide you with my email? But of course. 

 

So now I have a new driver that I ABSOLUTELY CRANK, an old 3 wood that gives me the happy nostalgia, my pants are jacked up to my neck, I am now a Wilson staff player and I have a s*#&load of explaining to do around here...

I also ordered the front wheel conversion for my CG 3.5+ along with the TFS.  They're both backordered right now and I won't get them until late March it looks like, but when they come, this thing is gonna be that much better.

Played 36 holes yesterday with the v2.  I knew it wouldn't last all 36, but it died after about 22ish holes.  It wasn't too bad pushing it, but I won't be doing that again.

I'm hoping the swivel wheel conversion will help with the power loss issues.  I'm sure I used more power than I should have.  My cart pulls right and I spent much of the day turning to counter that.

They are awesome a great addition to any practice putting green, one of the most addicting things also, until you give it a try its hard to believe. I've enjoyed having one and my putting game I'd like to think has gotten better because of it. Their are no freebies using it, it sticks in the hole or it doesn't, pace, direction, and quality strike are all important

The 410 LST head arrived today. It’s in excellent shape, better than I hoped for the 249.99 that I paid for it. I’m pairing it with the same Ping Tour shaft that I had with the G400 LST head. I’ve currently got it set up 1 which means 11.5. I will also try it with the Motore. I don’t know that I will truly be able to tell any sort of benefit until I get it on the course.

So as not to clash with my USA Flag tees, I just received a set of these for the new set of ZX5's.  What... seriously... did you really think I was going to tote them around buck naked?

Hey what's new, I'm in the driver market again.  The SLDR isn't going to kick itself out of the bag.  In preparation I picked up another Ventus Black 6s so I don't have to mess with the gamer when testing new stuff.  Haven't pulled the trigger on any new heads yet but I've got my eye on the lookout for a TSi4 as the first contender.

... Getting tired of waiting for a Mizuno T20 58* wedge. Ordered January 10th and only custom option is a Nippon 950GH shaft. Still isn't here 2 months later. So much for Mizuno's fast shipping on custom orders.

After my recent poor form I decided I needed to tone down my golf wardrobe. If I can't play at least occasionally to single figures, the Loudmouth gear needs to be on hold. I bought two pairs of pants, navy and grey. I still can't even think about beige.

Well, after 90's/2000's White Hot insert tech took the top spot in an MGS Most Wanted, hard to say anything is really lost if Derrick is in fact giving up the micro hinge.  I'm curious too though...

So this was a used Odyssey #7 arm lock that I picked up for a really good price. I sent it in to Spryevo to have the original microhinge insert swapped out with an aluminum milled insert. The aluminum milled insert doesn't have any specific tech in it in the sense no special grooves or anything like that. According to Spryevo, there are benefits of swapping out inserts and you can see that info here: https://www.spryevo.com/golf/putter-insert-optimization/about-putter-inserts/

I won't argue whether or not an aluminum insert has better distance control, better feel, etc., it may, it may not. At worst, it looks really cool and is different. At best, I will putt well with it. Wasn't that big of an investment in terms of the cost for this putter or for having the insert swapped out.
