I got them on, but they didn’t go in nearly as easy as the videos I watched, they kept wanting to blow back off and the last few inches were really tough

Better with practice no doubt. I think you have to find the sweet spot of how much pressure to use.  Small busts as well.

Not golf related, but bought my first pair of Jordan's since I was 14 I think.  Look like they will be a good shoe for summer.

Epic Speed 4W (16.5*) with Project X Cypher 50

Been looking at this for a while and finally just walked into the store and grabbed one OTR (and finally used the generous gift card from my honey from Christmas). Brought Mrs. Surfdude along for us to look at ladies' SGI sets - which we really did (REALLY!!) - and then being the good spouse/golf partner she is she went browsing and picked up a few new clothes in fun Spring colors for herself 🙂

So I chose the Speed head over the Max as this has a slightly taller face, and I pretty much only use this club off the tee. Interestingly the stock length is the same as the 3W, but my thinking is I can always use a little more loft .. especially if I ever start to try to hit the thing from an actual fairway. And I can trim, say, 1/4-1/2" if I change grips from the stock Tour Velvet Align (not sure if I like it).

It got its first trial run yesterday, and while my ball striking was kinda meh this club + shaft combo definitely wants to send the ball .. there's a nice Jailbreak-assist pop off the face, even at my moderate swing speed, and the shaft feels nice and smooth with a little kick at impact, also really helping launch the ball.

* Recommendation to other moderate swing speed or other starting-to-get-a-little-older dudes -- try the PX Cypher!!!

Excellent advice my friend. I couldn’t agree more with what you said about the Cypher. I also talked about it a few weeks ago...

I originally had the Epic Max with the hazardous smoke. I just wasn’t getting what I should from it, then I tried it with the Cypher.... it gave me a huge distance bump (20+ yards) over the smoke and a much better ball flight.

My Ping G 400 Max has been my all time favorite driver since it came out 4 years ago and is still performing very well, but this one is very close to taking it’s spot in the bag. No other driver has come close to doing that. The only thing stopping me is the Ping is so damn dependable.
When I hit I the Epic/Cypher combo on the range, I know it’s better for me, but I’m having a hard time saying goodbye to the Ping... do I want to break in a new club that’s giving me more distance, or keep the one I have complete faith in under pressure?

When I went to Portland a couple of weeks ago, I met and played 9 holes with @rbsiedsc.  He brought his Divot Board and I watched him hit balls on the range. I decided that this looks like something that I should use at home in the winter... But it's almost summer!!  So what!  Arrived yesterday.

Grabbed a birdie ball putting mat when they were on sale a couple weeks ago. May have made a mistake going with the 4 x 12 as it takes up the entire living room almost but who needs a living room anyway

Think i got the 3 X 12, can't remember the exact measurement. But after it arrived, when my wife came home, i said "i accidentally bought something too big"

How do yall like yours? I got mine with the 10-11 stimp and it seems like the ball doesn't want to stop. Not sure that i really like it that much. Is yours the same way?

I like it, i also got the 10-11 stimp. My home course is like 12 on the stimp in the summer, so the birdie ball green seems reasonable speed wise.

Yeah mine is the “private course/country club” speed, but I like it; my speed and line are better this year. It’ll be interesting what arccos says about my putting by the end of the season...

if you go into the review thread for the birdie ball putt up, i think all of us found that the birdie ball mats run FAST.

i think @WaffleHouseTour or @EasyPutter actually measured theirs with a stimpmeter, i can’t remember who it was.

I just thought the bags the competitors got last year in Cobra Connect looked good (and they did), but I love the color combination on that one!

Just ordered demo clubs of the Sub70 699Pro and the 639 MB Plus. Will be getting a set of either after the test. My Golf Spy definitely influenced my decision to get into a set of players distance or forged clubs from Sub70.

Go big or go home I see. Let us know how the MBs work for you

I'll do a more detailed WITB or should I say WITBS in a few days. But I couldn't wait to get this bag out, literally took it out of the box around 8:00 am and had it on a cart by 8:20 🙂

ive heard a lot about the Vessel bags snd from first impressions the quality is excellent

Might be one of the best looking bags I've seen or had.   Just waiting on the RS One Lengths to show up in a couple weeks.

It is; this is a safe space for the many among us who suffer from chronic club ho-ing. Please don’t post about your venture into becoming a non club-ho😝

I just bought the Arccos Smart Grips (MCC Plus4).  But i just realized that when and if i change any club i would need to buy a new grip.  Anyone have experience with moving these grips to other clubs? Or would you have to buy the individual grips each time?  Thanks!
