Callaway Preowned sent the wrong club… I ordered a 15* with 80g X stiff MMT, they sent a 13.5*, no 15* in the house with that shaft, so sounds like an error when they entered it in the online inventory. Will just have the Sub 70 fairway wood to demo this week.

I recently bought a Ventus black velocore but these HZRDUS smoke black RDX OEM shafts keep performing better for me!

I've currently got a ventus blue velocore, but I'm right with you - the smoke black rdx is really a great shaft.  Thinking of buying one to keep as a back up.

Went on a work trip this past week where I was able to golf a couple times.  Long story short, my clubs did not make it for my first round so I had to rent a set.  Complete set of Taylormade clubs (M6) that were pretty fair.

However, really putted well with the Spider Tour Black that was included so I just picked one up from  a Lefty Trade group I'm in on facebook for a solid price.  We'll see if it was a one trick pony or not.

Just picked up an Epic Speed 4wd.  I'm considering going from D, 3, 5, 7, 9 to D, 4, 7, 4i, 5i.  This is the first real experiment toward that move.

Nah.  I already have everything else.  I pulled the 4i and 5i for the 7wd and 9wd.  If anything, I might have money left over after I sell the other woods if I decide to.

Not really, kinda found it funny for a putter called Mad Scientist obviously going at Bryson for it to cover a SIK Putter, and I just thought it was nifty. It's a good conversation piece and my playing partners on Sunday commented on it already, so it's doing its job.

Might spring for driver and fairway wood covers as well, He has a nice donut headcover and now he has a one off jean barrel driver cover... tempting.

... Looking forward to hearing how you like them. I tried some Steelfiber 95's in s-flex quite a few years ago and did not like them at all greatly preferring Recoil 95's. Talked to the Aerotech at the Show and told him about my experience and after watching me hit a few shots said even though my swing speed can support s-flex, my smooth swing was not loading/unloading and had me hit the r-flex which he said plays closer to others s-flex, especially for smooth swingers. So I tried a set and absolutely love them in my Cobra Tour irons. They also performed very well when I had them in my T100S.

So, only one practice round under my belt so far, and I have to say I was really really impressed with my "new" irons.  As far as the Steelfiber i95s are concerned, I've picked up a solid 5 yards across the bag, and I'm really excited that during the round I felt no jarring or pain re the golfer's elbow I've been fighting, which was the reason I looked into these in the first place.  I'll still need to ice and rehab the elbow, but I'm confident I can continue to play and do so comfortably without making it worse.

What I'm not sure the shafts can take credit for is the much tighter dispersion I'm seeing.  Long story short, I got fit for my 919 Forged irons via GolfTec 2 years ago, and the fitting put me at 1 degree up and 1/4 inch short.  I went to a local and very reputable fitter this time around, and he basically said I need to go back to standard lie angles.  I don't think I got a bad fitting from GolfTec, but I do work very hard via PlaneMate and dry swing drills and I think it's entirely possible I've just improved to the point that I early extend and high handle it less and no longer needed that 1 up lie angle.

Point being, I've already noticed MUCH greater face control...maybe a few slight blocks (which I would expect when adjusting to a flatter lie) but no overcooked draws that had been plaguing me this year.

On a side note, calling it a practice round because I was 2 over through 6, but had to skip 7 due to an idiot doing idiot things in front of us, then played the remaining 11 holes 4 over after I calmed down.  Long odd story.

Ordered 52/56/60 SM8 raw wedges, they came in and unfortunately they built the 52 to the wrong length. Moving to a 4 wedge setup after basically always playing 3. Next step is to figure out how to combine my hybrid and 3 iron.

Not even for 150 yard full shots? 😂

Tested this today.  The 48° is a 145-150 club.  The 54° is a 125- 130 club.  I think I’m gonna get a 62° to round out the wedges, should be a 95-100 yard club.

54° is money now.  Hardly used the 58 today.

48, 54, 62°

With the addition of the 54°, I might have to change up my strategy a little.  It’s a dart thrower…

My off tempo shots are not the best right now.  75 - 90 yards scares the 💩 out of me.

Those sound like some good changes right there. I am sure it will take some time to figure out those yardages, it always take me a couple months. I would say all it means for now is you need to drive every green, problem solved 👍

That’s a whole different story.  Pulling every drive… hard to make the green… also, I couldn’t hit a fade with the iron today if someone said they’d give me a million dollars. They’d start out left, act like they were going to fade but then go more left.  Frustrating.

The greatest part of playing a fade is watching it start beautifully then thinking “why the ******* **** is that not coming back”

fades look cooler though so always play a fade

Love the fill in the blank asterisk’s.  I’ve filled them in plenty over the years. Haha.

A lot lately with the 3 wood.  Was hitting a little sniper 3 yard fade with it.  Stock is a mini draw, but had the most beautiful fade going on… 🥺
