So as September came close to an end I had FSA money left and really nothing to spend it on.  So I did what I was always tempted to do and went against my original eye Dr’s recommendation and ordered a pair of Single Vison prescription.  And would take my chances on things like reading a scorecard etc.

Well they came in today and not only look great snd feel so much lighter they worked great on the range. No horrible fat contact. At least none that I could blame on the prescription. I definitely can’t wait to get out and try them on course and give an all around test.

But I'm very happy with the results and looks as well.

SportRX can’t be beat to work with.  Their opticians and experts were extremely helpful in selecting the style, size frame and specs.   Uploading my Script was very easy.

Yep 70 pounds.  A combination of being in the hospital for 8 days with COVID (December/January) and discovering your AIC is 11.4 while you're there.   Kind of wakes you up and makes you make some changes.  I think I have gained about 8 pounds of it back since April, coming into the office every day and eating a bit more than I did for the first few months, but trying to maintain where I am now.

I was curious about the tint, so thank you for explaining that. It looks pretty cool, too. I wasn't sure if it was something that might help you track the ball better, or something else.

Yeah, I meant to explain that in the first post and got called away.  It was nice to have that in-depth of discussion with him, definitely a Sunglass fitting 🙂    I only hit some 6 irons on the range and I could track them just fine. Unfortunately that's only about 140 yards 🙂     We'll see what happens with the driver all the way out there at 200 to 210...ha

Great on the 70lbs!!  11.4 A1C is definitely something to change!! I’m sure you got that down to manageable level.

Yep in my 3 and 6 month follow ups it was below 6 which is where the Dr. wanted to see it

cutting out the 5-6 Pepsi’s and 4 to 5 chocolate chip cookies a day  helped.😁

I received my Evnroll ER2 Thursday that I ordered from @dlow206 and I'm a happy camper! Eric not only provides excellent customer service, he has knowledge to assist in selecting proper options for a correct fit.  Needless to say I would like to thank him and give him the well deserved attaboy he deserves.  If you're looking for a putter or whatever, you might want to run it by Eric first. 😉

Second this got a BGT putter shaft from @dlow206 and was great answered all my questions about the install and fitting.

DSG is closing out the 2019 Maxfli Tour online (maybe in store if you're lucky) @ 2 for $45 with free shipping. I grabbed 2 doz yellow. After the good reviews of both the 19 and 21 versions on MGS, I figure it was time to try these.

I worked for DSG from 04-07, so there house stuff or "exclusives" were usually not great quality products. Really meant to be high margin products. Though occasionally there were some nice Walter Hagen branded stuff. This was also in the era that we would have 5 different TaylorMade drivers on the sales floor. Given their relationship with TaylorMade, both Pittsburgh based, I have a theory this ball may be very similar to previous TM offerings. If TM sold them the name, is it possible done technology ora patent came along with it?

So I got the balls today, and I noticed two patent numbers on the back of the box. I looked these up (I do this kind of research for work) and if you don't believe me the US Patent Office is free to use.

8,557,947 - This patent applicant was Hanson Group LLC, based in Duluth, Georgia & the current assignee is Foremost Golf Mfg.

D792,535 - Also a Foremost patent, this one is for the design of a golf ball. This patent was filed in 2016, which predates the DSG Maxfli by a few years.

I wonder what other balls were made under this patent? I don't think it's a surprise that Foremost is the manufacturer, and I think MGS even states that in the ball lab articles. Does anyone have a list of all the major brand balls produced by Foremost?

This patent applicant was Hanson Group LLC, based in Duluth, Georgia

If it were South Carolina, I'd say mystery solved.  🙂

Where is Bridgestone's plant in the south?  Not remembering...

edit:  Hanson Group LLC works in specialty urethane systems.  Greenville SC is only a couple hours away (where Dunlop Sports was/is).  And Covington GA, where Bridgestone now has a presence, is pretty close...
