... Awesome golf ball. Spins more than the TP5x I play which can be a slight problem in the wind or if you struggle with a slice and of course they are outstanding on fast hard greens.

I never slice a golf ball... controlled fade all the way my man 🤣.

Yeah, tp5, good ball. I could easily game it.

Damn good to hear, because if they don't work for me, I'll bring them to the PNW Meet-up and trade for your hidden stach of Velocities 🤣.

Gonna try my hand at an Accra Tour Z RPG Tour(Gold) 65 M5+ shaft. Hit one at the end of my simulator round yesterday in a Mavrik head(simulator owners club) and was surprised at how smooth it was for being heavier and a lot stiffer than the Ventus Velocore Red 5R in my hopefully soon to be ex Stealth + lol. Gonna pair it with a Rogue ST Triple Diamond head.

Triple Diamond purchased.  This simulator and trackman so close to me is gonna get expensive but FUN! Haha

I hope so. I really liked the Stealth plus and I’m sure the shaft was wrong after hitting it. That said my biggest grip would be not being able to tell where I hit the ball on the face. Everything felt really similar and there was no ball marks to show me.

Been less active as I was on leave with my third child so less time to hop on here, but I'll kinda mark a bit of a come back in the most MSG way possible, a new club purchase.

Went down to one of our local stores trying to find a new 3 wood, as my current on is an 07 TM Burner and I had a feeling from some other testing that it was spinning way too much, great for landing on a green, but basically making it more like a 5 wood. Testing confirmed this as even on straight balls I was getting spin closer to 4,000 spin so it was hard to push it past a 215 carry.

Looking to save a couple bucks so I tested the SIM2 Ti, Epic Speed, Rad Speed, and TSi3 3 woods. The Rad Speed and TSi3 just struggled to keep up for me personally, and the rails on the Rad have never been my favorite. So it was between the SIM2 and the Epic. Both gave me the lower spin and longer carry I was looking for, pushing to 220 to 225, even without my best speed today. The Epic in the end felt a bit more consistent and so I went for it.

Epic Speed 3 Wood, with the stock Smoke IM10 60 Stiff. I like a softer profile in the woods as I get less aggressive after the driver. Though on wrap up thought it that I did some speed training at home and I was only a 2 - 4 MPH slower with the 3 wood than my Driver. Thinking maybe a 60 gram driver shaft is being called for as well. But a purchase for another day, or if someone has a 60 x shaft lying around I might be up for buying it.

I hit the Triple Diamond pretty good in my fitting, but found the Max LS to be just slightly more forgiving for me. But the Triple Diamond is really good.

The fitter said the Triple Diamond is for good ball strikers but then went on to tell me that I am a good ball striker. Had not ever heard anyone refer to me as a good ball striker...

I've got a Garmin G10 but have been after a watch for a while to use whilst mountain biking, running etc as I'm trying to get a bit fitter.

Came across a Garmin Fënix 6X Pro at a silly price so ordered it. It works with golf too so guess it counts. It's a bit of a beast and does loads more than I need but was too good to pass up.pro-solar_9-9efdb7ab-e7e4-4d38-aa2d-3219076e3b64-297e1b68-6954-4246-a8b2-7cdaa29d7e33.png.eee21bc873970814a67a52366783efc2.png

Ordered a pair of Squairz shoes the other day that should be here by Wednesday.  It's one of the older models that they had on sale.  Saturday, I saw a guy at the club wearing Squairz and asked him his thoughts.  He said he loved them and had several pairs.  He asked me which model I ordered (Arrow) and commented that, although they would be comfortable, the newer model (Speed) were lighter and even more comfortable.  Wish I would have talked to him before I ordered but, then again, I did get the older model $40 cheaper.  I'll report later with my thoughts on the shoes.

Also bought a couple of pairs of Walter Hagen pants when I was in Dick's the other day.  I gotta say, they are very nice pants!

The 3 is a beast. Originally thought a 2 would be best, but that would replace the 3 wood or knock out a wedge, and I'm not ready for that move.

Another plug for Titleist: ordered it Friday, said 10 weeks for the custom build....Looks like it's showing up on Sunday!

I need to make this same purchase.  I keep eyeing them. I might be most impressed with the T200 4 iron over the whole Titleist iron testing.

Cobra LTDx LS with the limited edition Hzrdus RDX blue 60 gram x stiff was the winner of my fitting today! Close 2nd was the Callaway max LS. Didn’t think anything was gonna beat my g410 LST/ Tensei white set up, but almost every new driver did 🤯. There’s bomber set up for every club ho on the forum this year I think…

Gankas G-Snap arrived today. I am a George fan.  I know he isn’t everyone’s flavor and I get it.  I am a visual / feel learner and after I committed to understanding his method, it clicked with my brain.

I’ll do a deeper dive on product reviews once I have a chance to give it some effort.

First impression is that it feels nice, it’s comfortable and allows for a full swing.  Some training aids make it difficult to swing fully without feeling some sort of restriction, this is more along the lines of feeling guided into and through impact.  The pad behind my hand is moveable and can be attached via Velcro up or down based upon desired feel.  It snaps when you bow your wrist (think bowed left at the top like DJ or DD)  I was hoping the snap would occur if you over extend through impact like an early-release guide but I haven’t gotten that far yet.  I am sure there’s a great reason why it’s set up this way.

The point of this is focused on face control.  George says repeatedly that G-Snap is face control…it’ll be great for longer clubs but I am looking forward to seeing how this works on my putting stroke and pitching.  I’ll go further in depth with pros-cons later on but in the meantime, some photos.

I have to give it a go Rick. Everyone I know who has a 5h loves theirs also.

CPO is the best btw. All those FWs I mentioned I tried out? The 4 of them ended up costing me a total of $42 out of pocket after trading in one club to begin the process. The Rogue 3 wood came with the head still in plastic.

The 4&5 hybrids were a little pricier through Callaway itself, but with  a 50% trade in bonus, and credit from those prior FW purchases (traded in my two original Rogue hybrids and FW) they cost me $120.
I got $219 back from PGASS for the Hy-wood, so the 18* will cost me $60.

I reviewed a 5H a few years ago when I had the Cobra King F8’s……could not get the hang of it.

Now I have a 7W which does the the 5H work.

7 wood is definitely a good weapon.  Had one in the bag for a few years and loved it.  Somewhere we fell out of love.
I bought it used for around $25 and still have it!

The one I had cost a lot more than $25, and when we fell out of love... she left.  Oh, wait a minute... we're talking about 7 woods???  Nope, never had one!

So this 5 hybrid has been a revelation! I love it.
I was telling my cart partner about it on Monday, and he told me he has a 6, which he loves. Sure enough, he was money with it. Every time he hit it, the result was the same… nice flight, straight, 145-150 like it was nothing. I’m watching him, and all I could think was “I want one” 😂

I mean, we’re internet golfers, posting in a what did you buy thread, right?
At first it seemed nobody makes one in LH except Ping, and I was curious, but not $300 curious to try one. Then Tuesday I found an Epic Star 26* hybrid in outlet condition on CPO for $150. I had $63 in credit, so it cost about $85. The model is about 5 years old, but the club itself is brand new, and how much tech can there be in a 6 hybrid?

It should arrive Friday, so we’ll soon find out if this is another home run, or too much of a good thing.

Good luck with the new sticks.  Don’t forget Tour Edge.  Mine were $60 from Rock Bottom.

Rick, you read my mind… I was looking at Tour Edge this morning. 😂

I know nothing about their clubs though. I’ve heard some guys say they love them, but I’ve also heard that although very forgiving, they aren’t the longest out there? Which model do you have, and what are your thoughts? If this 6 works out, I’d take a flyer on one of their hybrid sets maybe 7-PW? I think they were $99 per on TGW, but I’d be fine with an older and cheaper version if RBG has them. (Guess what site I’m going to now?)

I pulled the trigger on an upgrade in the driving iron department. I am moving from my 716 tmb to a t200 utility with an AD DI 105x hybrid shaft. I got it at a price I couldn’t pass up. Will post pictures when it comes

They are not the longest.  I’ve extended all the hybrid shafts 1.5” and that did the trick.  I have HL4 hybrid in 4, 5 & 6.  My favorite so far is the 6h.

Haven’t tried Tour Edge irons , no LH demo carts available yet on new irons.
