Fwiw my 5H is 24 turned up +1 to 25.

I hit this way better than my 6i so this club typically gets used a few times per round.

Yeah you can get hung up on the loft at address but for me this club is hitting the distance I want it to .. so looks be damned 🤪🤣

I picked up a new 6 hybrid for $60 and I love it.  Still don’t have distance dialed in but it’s high and long.  Tour Edge is the real deal.
I hit it today on a 160 yard Par 3 and it was good height & pin high and dead straight.

I may need to look into practice options that don't require hitting balls just for the sake of time and convenience.

If you haven't already, check out the Orange Whip line .. from the full size Trainer to the Mid to the Compact. Note they also have a speed trainer, along with a wedge and putter.

I get a lotta use out of mine!

I've got SuperSpeed sticks already. The orange whip might be a solid option to swing while trying to ingrain the swing changes without spraying range balls all over the county. I started looking at them awhile ago, then things came up and it got pushed to the back of my mind. Will take a look. Thanks.

..the new Maxfli Tour in matte white ...

Great ball and, yes, the matte finish looks cool buuuut .... Curious to hear what your experience with it is.

I think .. may be incorrect .. that part of the MGS ball test included wetting the ball and the matte finish ones fared the worst as far as lost spin....

I've tried an earlier version of the MaxFli in matte and didn't care for the way the dirt stuck into the cover 🤷‍♂️

The biggest scuff mark was from hitting a full chip out of an AZ waste area. As you can see, the used ball on the left nearly looks like the new one on the right.

Going back to ShotScope. Ordered the H4 this morning. Signed up for text alerts from DSG and got $20 off $100 or more, so grand total was ~$140 with taxes and free delivery.

Arccos hasn't been bad lately, but I couldn't stomach the renewal fee this year. Just the renewal would have been more than the cost of the new ShotScope device. They've also been really slow at rolling out their new dashboard. I'll miss the caddie for wind adjustments, but that's about it.

I have said in the past that I wished a company would go back to the Game Golf tagging setup and ShotScope delivered. Plus the tags are much lower profile than the Arccos sensors. Excited for it.

Agreed. And it's why I got replaced the Arccos grips ... loved the data provided, but a renewal fee was too difficult to justify. Got paired up with a golfer last year that uses the V3 and said he loves it.

Recently sold mine. It was giving bad yardages and freaking me out. I started trying to confirm with my range finder and the S60 was more than 10 yards off. Never could figure out how to calibrate it but at that point it might have been in my head. Just got the V1 Game app.

I ran into that a few times today when my partner shot one distance to the flag and I got another off by 9 yards once and 12 the next.

The H4 looks perfect. I had not heard of it until reading your post. I tried the Arccos last year because of the free sensor offer from Ping. It was finicky with picking up shots with both my iPhone and Apple Watch which further made me question the value of the fee for the service.

I've mentioned before my Ram Tour Grind affinity.  Was sitting around last weekend, unable to play golf thanks to the glorious Minnesota April weather, after having played the weekend previous.  As one does in such situations, the mind wanders...

I began thinking of what I might do for rounds with a classic bag configuration.  I'm already playing what most would call classic irons, it's an easy transition.  I have a full set of Golden Ram TW282 Tour Grinds, and a nearly full set of TW276 Tour Grinds; I've been missing the 2 iron in the set.  Was thinking of how I could rig the lofts of my 1i and 3-PW in that set, thought what the hell, do another useless search for TW276 on ebay.

And I get a bingo, a rather nice condition TW276 2 iron, for a reasonable price.  I actually hesitated a full minute before hitting Buy It Now.

It arrived yesterday.  Sharing a few pics below.

The only real issue is that I need to reshaft it, and that set is shafted with NV105 graphite, something not really available anywhere.  I have a tapered hybrid NV105, may use that in the 2i, and shaft up the 1i with something else that could be reasonably close in weight and flex.  Not a bad problem to have.

One showed up last night and the other today!  Huge shout out to @rkj427 for the headcover.

2ndSwing described the Sik as MINT but I would call it excellent. There is definitely signs of use and to me mint means it looks like it hasn’t been hit. Still more than happy with it though so I’ll quit the yelling at the cloud for now lol.

It has a heavier head than most blade putters I’m guessing at 370g but I think coming from mallet putters this is the perfect weight for me. Another interesting part was Sik says the slant neck is half shaft offset but this looks to be at least 3/4.  I do really like the curved high toe look. Can’t wait to get this to the practice green tomorrow if it isn’t raining. 🤞🏻

Nice putter now I am going to ask something out of ignorance. Is it set up as say an arm lock or set up like a regular putter? I am familiar with the loft set up whether one forward presses or not. But I was mainly curious just all

It amazes me when someone says to me “you know you’re on the wrong side of the ball, right?” Or something to that effect. I mean, do they really think they’re not the 1,084th person to tell me that?

I’m a really easy going guy, but I don’t even pretend it’s funny anymore. I give them a look, roll my eyes, and play my shot.

I am guilty as charged on saying on here and WRX something like the clubs are bassackwards. Now I did at one time play with my bud we call Ballz who is a lefty and I got used to it driving the cart. But I have not played with him for a while due to his Dad's death ( my old running partner Little Bear). Usually as SOP I let the lefty drive the cart ( ask John Smalls). LOL one of my sometimes Shootout partners is a lefty but he insists I drive the cart. When I screw up he will shout "wrong side wrong side" He is a hoot anyway. His real name is Marty but he sounds like Dick Vitale so we call him Dick. Like I said he is a hoot and I think he loves to give me crap.

As @BIG STUor any of the Florida guys like @Rickpwill tell you, everyone living in a warm winter climate has an intense dislike for them, be it rational or not, we can’t wait for them to leave.

My friend Frank came down to the Myrtle Beach area for about 4 winters before finally buying a home and moving down full time. He wasn’t “a local” 3 weeks when we’re in his car going over a swing bridge to leave our community. We’re stuck behind two old ladies in a golf cart loaded up for the beach, and they’re going about 10-15 mph. He starts ranting about “these damned snowbirds!!!”
Thr guy hadn’t even made a mortgage payment yet and he already hated them. 🙄

LOL there are a bunch of folks like that down here. There is a little Murrells Inlet group on FB full of those types. A guy that I met on there is now a permanent Shootout partner and moved around the corner from me. He is from Ohio. I met him after he closed and was seeking local info and I helped him and we became friends. Now he is not like that. But he did catch some crap on that site and he figured out that it was not from the Southern born and bred folks like myself but fellow "Yankees". Yeah some of the transplants like to play off like they have been down here all their life. I got into it with one such over the pine tree pollen. I drew him out though. Found out he was from NY and had lived in Charlotte for a few years before coming here. I only mentioned the fact I was North Charlotte born and bred and he shut up. Yeah some of them think since they have moved here no others even from their home state should move down. I noticed after I called him out most of my posts were shut down for commenting rather quickly

I got off that FB site told them I did not need their sanctimonious "plastic" BS. I have no problems with anyone as long as they do not act like a Richard Noggin and I could give 2 hoots less where they were originally from as long as they act like decent human beings. My bud from Ohio has since gotten off that site too.
