Agree, and yes they do usually do it in one session.  A friend of mine was able to break it up into two different sessions.

I did one a few years ago and the fitter definitely spent most time on driver/irons with me.  Wedges we didn't even really get to and the putter was an after thought.  Some positives and negatives about it for sure.

I would think that wedges would be hard to fit on a turf hitting bay since the goal is to find the right grind and bounce, right?

I’m told that just a proper putter fitting can be very strenuous. Never done one of those.

Do you plan on fitting for a 3w or hybrid as well as irons and driver?

Do they do the entire bag all in one session? If so, seems like a recipe to get tired and inconsistent. Unless you know what club you want and just need to get your shaft as well as length and lie, that’s a lot of swings in one session. A proper fitting for 2 clubs in one session would be tough for some people, myself included.

I recently got fitted for a new driver @ Club Champion. My fitter, the area district manager told me after I ordered the driver to call him and schedule a fitting for irons or fairway clubs at no charge. I know that's probably not their policy, but I believe they will work with you on the schedule, etc.

My Ping G410 Crossover repair update. Ping returned my repaired club with an Align and because I said logo down the “Align” was up. 🤦🏻‍♂️ They never mentioned it was an Align grip. This afternoon I ventured to my local Golf Galaxy to pick up a new grip. Side note, they had a excellent selection of MCC Plus 4 teams grips. I installed a gold/navy grip when I got home and it’s ready for tomorrow’s round.

Thanks to the budgeting app mint, my free wheeling golf spending days are done for a while.  🙄  I fully agreed to it,  there's a very large thing we're saving for down the road,  but I think it was borderline better for me not to know what kind of cash got thrown into this bizarrely deep hole in the grass.  It's a little bit insane how quickly all those buckets at the range add up...  In an effort to claw back some of my golf budget from the range buckets I found this on facebook marketplace this morning.  Works well, is easy to set up, and will be really good for contact drills.  Now... how to fit a mevo+ into the budget.....  😆

PS:  I am aware that my mat has seen better days.

New irons are in the bag! I picked up a set of Mizuno JPX921  Forged irons from fellow forum member @rkj427.  It's a set that runs 4-GW with Modus 105 R flex shafts and Golf Pride MCC+4 grips.

I've had a fascination with Mizuno for a couple of years and I can say that they do not disappoint. I took a trip to Golf HQ last weekend to try them out before committing and they performed well for me. I saw some gains in distance and they were surprisingly forgiving for a players distance iron.

They are gorgeous!

The best part of the experience was the  communication between Robert and I. I think that's something that gets overlooked in the BST thread, the personal interaction between members. I enjoyed talking about golf and life with him this past week and though we've never met, I am thankful to this forum for giving us a means to know each other better.

There's rain in the forecast most of the week, so it'll be closer to the weekend before I get a chance to hit these beauties. I can't wait to get out and have some fun with them!

Thank you, Bill! I can't stop staring at them, they've lured me in like a siren. The first rainy weather has me going crazy because I can't even get out and hit them in the net, but that'll make it sweeter when I can. Might just have to kick the wife out of bed so they have room in there with me.

Not to mention, they've got me thinking crazy thoughts about iron covers.

Congratulations mate. I'm testing those and the Pro's next Tuesday, although there's a new JPX line coming out around August or September that I may be able to have before release.

I added an awesome driver to my stall to compliment an already awesome Callaway Rogue.  I have started a review on my new Cleveland XL Launcher in the Boom Sticks thread.

I've only hit it on the range thus far and it EXCEEDED my expectations!   Looking forward to seeing what it will do on the course today and I will report back.....

I decided to take my home practice setup up a notch. I have a Rukket Sports net but I really didn’t like hitting off of the small mat that came with it. It’s a tri-turf mat that’s 25” x 16”. So I just ordered a Motivo Golf Fairway One Pro, 3’ x 4’, $149.99 with free 2 day shipping.

I think that would just follow the Mizuno JPX release cycle.

On a similar note Titleist should have updated Driver and woods this fall as well.

Never let rain stop you...

unless there is lightning

That's some sound advice, right there. I try to not mess with anything outside when there's lightning around. Back around fifteen years ago, a friend and I were bass fishing on Fort Loudon lake up near Knoxville and we saw some storm clouds rolling in. We took off toward the dock hoping to beat the storm and get off the water asap. Right about the time we get in sight of the dock the rain comes down in buckets along with lightning. My buddy coasts along the dock at a pretty steady clip and I jump off and take off running for the truck. I get there, we get the boat out of the water, and Allen starts to get in the truck at the same time lightning strikes and he tells me once he's in that when he touched the truck and felt the hair stand up on his body.

The driver sale at CPO was too much for me, I picked up a Mavrik Max for a price that was way too good to pass up.

That does surprise me; does that complete the list or are there still one or two more you haven’t tried?   I know there are some smaller boutique brands but does that cover all the major OEMs?

Not a fan of the brand or the owner, but those don't look nearly as hideous as their other offerings. It'll be interesting to see how they fare against the T300s.
