My point? I’m in a rare place right now… I’m not looking to change a thing, and I have no interest in looking.
The only club that interested me, and the only new release I’ve tried was the 430 Max driver, and my 425 (albeit a new one with a higher loft) beat it out.

What am I going to do with all the money I’ll be saving?

I know I said it in the bias thread that I don’t like iron sets with the same family design as the woods, but those look really clean. Callaway did good making them not look like an add-on to the Paradym family but a stand-alone iron family. 
 

They remind me a lot of the fusion irons from yesteryear that I drooled over as a young golfer.

The way I figure, it ought to look about the same as the clubs I tried at GG and PGATSS that had the plastic removed and would have still been charged $400+ tax for. CPO helps me save on the club and helps me save on the tax for the same thing. WIN!

Well we pulled the trigger.  I've used my Stroke Lab for three seasons and liked it, but it was just too soft for me personally.  I was convinced I'd end with a scotty or toulon, but I got to try the GTX this past weekend and pretty much fell in love with the stability, feel, and shape.  I've been fit recently too so I knew these were my specs.  Hopefully more made putts coming in 2023!

(Not to mention the spider is 100 bucks less than the other options, so I picked up a dozen prov1x's to try out this spring)

Well I made a spur of the moment purchase, and bought a very lightly used set of Mizuno T22 “denim copper” wedges. 54°, 58°, and 62°. Yep, you read that right, 62°. That’s what I thought… but, they came on Patterson Kinetixx trajectory shafts. I got all three for basically the cost of one new one, so I just couldn’t pass em up.

It was pouring rain, so i have only got 1/2 a round on them, and really only kinda hit them once or twice each. So I don’t have much of a report. But got one good hit each and they feel sweet- but good lord, that 62° was an interesting bird- I had about a 20 yard shot, over a trap to a short pin, so I figured hey! What a perfect opportunity!

so I took about a 1/2 swing that would have gone long with the 60°, and doggone if it didn’t softly pop up nice and tight. Kind of a specialty wedge, probably doesn’t go more than 40-50 yds.

they are 12° of bounce on the 54-58° wedges, with a d and c grind? That’s fine for the 54°, but not used to that much on the 58°.  The 62° has the X grind, and 8° of bounce. 
 

anyways, they’ll be fun to play with…

I’ve been looking for a hat that offers better sun protection. I annually have a dermatology check up where the really encourage sun protection. After seeing the Joel Dahmen Full Swing episode I discovered his website and they sell hats. So I bought the End Cancer Old Norse Sun Protection Hat. Proceeds go to the MD Anderson Cancer Center.

Yep. V2 of the 699 U is available in LH. That’s why I just went for it. I would have asked for a demo but none was available yet, plus my visit is too short to make it happen.

I never paid much attention to Sub70 equipment because of their lack of LH.  Have my attention now.

Aw man, a major bag change. 3 things that havent changed and i dont change are my 5 wood, my hybrid and my putter. Playing for as long as i have, ive only owned 4 putters.

Driver from TSi3 to TSr2. Then my long time 3 Wood sim max adjustable to Titleist TSi2.

Srixon ZX5 irons. Loved how they felt over a year ago but just didn't like the extra distance. I came across a crazy good deal on Ebay that was ending very cheap, I bid with 9 seconds left and got them WAY below market value with a shaft that I had hit the stiff version of at club champion. LZ 6.5. These things are money on fitting me. 

Then the Wedges. Loved the feel of the Titleist Wedges. Went with SM9 on the sand and lob and the sm9 on the gap.

I was in Academy Sports here in town and they had a 70something loft- looked like a  spatula. The highest I ever had in my bag was a 64*- and it was great around the green and for flops and specialty shots over bunkers, ponds ......... not good for a whole lot else.

I have a 72 degree wedge from BombTech. Its freaky to use..

How's the move from TSi3 to TSr2 for you? I just picked up the TSi3 last year on a steal of a deal so not upgrading this year, but maybe when the next Titleist iteration comes out I will look at the TSr line as they will be the prior model at that point and more in the price range I'm comfortable paying.

They’ve raised their prices a bit this year, but they’re still pretty reasonable.

I’ve never hit one of their clubs, but I’m very impressed with all the shaft options they offer.

Grips.  That time of year.  Golf Pride Tour Velvet Plus 4.  Used them for the first time last year.  Love the feel of the velvet, but was having issues with some arthritis in my left hand.  I decided to try the plus 4 version and glad I did.  The extra size on the bottom the grip helped solve the arthritis issues I was having.  If you have this issue worth giving them a try.

Heard about a new material shirt through some buddies I play with, brought it and is probably the most comfortable shirt I own. Only down side is there is just the 1 design at the moment, I think they are only a new brand. Took this photo from their website, I don't have any wearing it yet.

Not golf related but I'm reliving my youth.

I used to wear these Okanui boardies back in the 80's growing up and was surprised that the company was still around. I'll be getting some others when I hopefully go home next year because they're an Aussie company and with the exchange rate, cheaper there than here.

I go there A LOT (probably more than I should)- they've got all kinds of clubs- even non-Callaway and their Clearance section is a pretty good place to find um.... unique clubs/set-ups

I actually bought the same putter from CPO in a 2 model, saved about $100 off new. I had a laser testing where my aim was looked at and I tended to aim my gamer to the left and a couple of other putters I had were all aiming left, this was one of the few models I actually aimed correctly and I don't usually like plumber neck blades, I am more of a face blanced center shaft kind of person. I have yet to game it yet but I have seen very good results with it in my practive putting mat.  In a couple of weeks I should get to try it out.
