You’ll have to let me know what you think of them once you get some holes under their belt! Getting out tomorrow, 2:10 at Cedar Creek about 20 min south of me. I can stop on the way at Toms River Golf Center and get a feel for it on the range and see how it gaps with my 6i and 5H. The back 9 at Cedar Creek breaks me every time. Lost strokes are mostly due to bad position from the tee. You can swing freely to start this course with a big wide par 5 that plays straight, and the real estate gets more narrow and crooked from there. By the end I'm usually making triple bogeys on 320 yard par 4s. Tomorrow I plan to use the UT from the tee to try to cut these holes in half. I can think of 3 holes in particular I hope I have time to hit a few balls. IndyBonzo
I just acquired a relatively forgiving, cavity-backed Mizuno 4 iron to pair with my MP-60 5-9 irons to see if it solves a gapping issue, and as a test (of sorts) on whether I should eventually add a 4 iron to the new MP 223 irons (arriving any day). RaRa Golf
I recently picked up a Burk Golf 60º wedge from Amazon. Forged and milled, PVD finish and bronze colour. Gorgeous club with great feel. The shaft is a lot lighter than the S400 T.I in my Cleveland RTX, but it gives the head a nice weight. I swapped out the grip with a GP CP2 Pro that I pulled off my old 61º. Popular Post MattWillGolf
Last week on my Myrtle Beach golf trip we played a course that had a charity fundraiser on one of the par 3 holes. It was to raise money to provide meals for school kids in need. It was a $20 donation and that got you a coupon for $50 off an order from Short Par 4 golf. If your shot landed on the green the coupon was for $100 and it went to $150 if you were within 10ft of the flag. Needless to say I got the basic discount. LOL I ended up ordering 2 dozen Srixon Z Star Diamond golf balls to try. After discount and shipping I was $25.90 out of pocket. Gapped appropriately above my 6i and below 5h set @23° like I hoped. Yesterday 18 holes used 5 or 6 times, good and bad results. On course the adjustment I'm struggling with is teeing at the right height to get proper launch. Caught it off the ground nice a couple times, 165y or so carry. Tee shots were coming up short of that with higher pop up quality that made me go to driver later in the round. Today 18 holes, 1 absolute chunk I overswung and took a 2 1/2" deep 6" long divot. I was overthinking the 170y number I knew I had to hit. The other 3-4 times I used it were noted as "good" or "on" so quickly I'm adjusting to the length and where to align with the club. Popular Post Tijoli
I’m so excited! I finally have a brand new driver that didn’t come with my starter set. I started playing in 2020 and quickly fell in love and soon became addicted . I’ve been playing with my husband’s driver and was hesitant to go to a women’s so I decide on a Men’s Callaway Epic Max with a senior shaft and can’t wait to get out on the course. It has a great feel and I’ve had a lot fun testing it on the range but can’t wait to put it into action. I’ve hit a few variations of women’s and men’s drivers and shafts and feel that this combination is the best for me. I have pretty good control and the weight of the men’s driver head and the flex of the senior shaft give me the distance I’m looking for. Here we go!!! The old x stiff KBS Tour V shafts were too stout for me. Now I'm rocking Nippon modus 3 105 stiff shafts and No1 grips 50 series in blue. Loving the switch so far, seeing improved accuracy and ball flight Oh man, yeah … you’ll absolutely notice the difference from the KBS Tour Vs to the Modus 105s. Good move on your part there. fritzychacho, 202, MGoBlue100 and 1 other 4 Quote Driver: G410 SFT 10.5* 3W: Speedzone 14.5* Hybrid: TS2 19* & 21* Irons: Forged Tec One Length (5i-GW) Wedges: T22 55* & 59* Putter: 002 Mid-Mallet Ball: Callaway Chrome Soft LS & Prime-X
Popular Post skraeling
This showed up. SKB ATA Deluxe standard travel case. Bought used for significant savings. Traveling to Hawaii in a few weeks and bringing my set with me for the first time ever. Southwest only covers damage if things are in a hard case so.. as I am not rich AF I’ll deal with the inconvenience of a hard case. It will fit a c-130 case if the side pockets are empty. will do a full review once I actually travel with it.
