Interesting! What did you play before the Greys?

I was playing the Bridgestone e6 but they changed them up on me and came out with two different models the e6soft and e6speed. So, they really forced my hand in finding which one I like and it turns out that they lost me instead. I tested all of the models from Vice, Snell MTBs, Cut, Srixon, Bridgestone, Kirkland, Callaway and of course Titleist (to include the 2019 prototypes). If you are interested, I added a write-up on the Cut models in one of the testing sections titled: Cut Golf Co. Ball Review (UN-official).

I picked up the Tommy Armour Impact No.3 putter yesterday. I have to say that I was skeptical of the comparison that it had gotten to much more expensive putters that are currently on the market. I had been playing a cheap Wilson putter for the last 9 years, so I was due for an upgrade. The no.3 is a GREAT putter! I took it to the practice green at my course and put it through the paces. It just flat out does what I expect it to do. My lag putts were spot on and I was making more from close range. I really hope this is a sign than this next season will be a breakthrough year.

Can you call in a favor with Mother Nature to allow some warm weather around 1/21 so I can hit it before April 🤣

LOl...Oh yeah, we've been probably 10 times or so.

Fortunately we don't have kids, so we are on our own schedule and time, which judging from watching some of the parents with their kids, our day is a breeze.   Well if I SWMBO has to wait in line for more than 2 minutes for a Mickey Ice Cream Bar, she can be a challenge to deal with 😆

I've been so close to pulling the trigger on a number of ebay things, but I'm just too cowardly to do so. Did get a new glove for the upcoming season though, UA Strikeskin Tour.

Also forgot to add that my local range is the best. It's where I take my lessons and do all of my practicing. With the winter program I am doing I asked the owner about the best place to buy a golf mat for my basement for practicing drills etc. He offered me one of their used mats for a fraction of the price it would cost me to buy one of the same quality. Can't wait to start practicing on it after it dries out a bit

How's this as proof of addiction issues?

I herniated a disc a few weeks ago (9th time) and this one is really bad, it'll be months before I can play and that's only if surgery isn't deemed necessary.

Also, I LOVE my CF16's, shot a PB -4 this season with them, (obliterating my previous PB of +1). Shot -1 too, along with a few rounds of even par.

So, that all said... I bought a new set of Wilson Staff C300 Forged irons. Why? I have absolutely NO idea, LOL...

I mean, I got a fantastic deal on them but price is bound to be less months from now. You know, when I can actually physically swing a club.

Took about a year, but now have officially flipped my bag for the first time. Year before, I began inundating myself in golf knowledge and equipment. Learned how the swing path and club face work together, how to shape shots and have made great progress. Now I know exactly what I'm doing, and most often know why. So far I've seen my handicap drop significantly, (15-17 down to 5-8). Technically at this point, I'm a 5 handicap, but that was one score out of 5 (5, 18 hole rounds. I've played quite a bit of 9 hole rounds) and I believe I'm closer to an 8 realistically. But maybe I'll be lower and near a 5 this year with thMP-18e clubs in my bag fully updated and have more experience with each club.
Updated my driver and 3W shaft as well after getting them last year and I think that will be a game changer and lower my scores by hitting more fairways. Drastically improved my iron game with getting fitted and buying Mizuno MP-18 mixed set. Can shape my shots and get very consistent distances, so I'm pretty excited for this year. Wedge game improved quite a bit too and now have rounded out the SM6 set completely. Also really excited as I've been rolling the new Taylormade TP Black Copper Juno nicely in the basement, and getting very consistent rolls and forgiveness. Never have really been excited about a putter, but the black copper is sexy, and it performs.
Looking to get on simulators a few times this winter, heated driving range a few times, a big golf show to attend, Taylormade demo fitting, and plently of swinging and putting in the garage and basement. Looking forward to early spring and am optimistic for my best golf yet.
