GolfSpy_BNG
Well with the PXG 0811 Proto X constantly on my mind, I decided to take the plunge on a used Gen 2 0811x head instead. DawgDaddy
Over a month ago I bought the GForce 7 iron and I feel it has helped my game tremendously. I had been thinking of adding the wedge to smooth out my chipping so yesterday on ebay I bought an Orange Whip Wedge Training Aid 56º, which is essentially the same but I saved about $50, it is lightly used and the grip still in the wrapper.. Grand Stranded
I'm taking a chance on two new left hand Epic Star fairway woods, ordered the 15* 3 wood and the 18* 5 wood. I've never hit them, heck, I've never seen one in anyone's bag, so what could go wrong, LOL? My G400 woods haven't been working for me for a while now, I'm just not elevating them anymore the way I want, especially the 14* 3 wood. I'm becoming a big fan of lighter shafts now that I've gone to graphite in my irons. The Epic Star's have a very lightweight premium Grand Bassara shaft in them, so I'm willing to give these a shot. I'm hoping they perform a touch better than the old Callaway V series fairway woods did... I loved those... wish I'd have kept them. After trading the G400's, I'll only be about $60 out of pocket. I figure it's worth a shot at that price. cnosil
Pyramid isn't saying it straightens it out - it is saying it creates gear effect and makes the ball curve back to the center line. Seems a bit far fetched. Reading the pyramid site it says they studied gear effect. The “claim” is that it keeps off-center putts tracking straight toward the target. The video shows that ball curving but the verbiage says straight. “Gear effect on a putter will keep a putt going straight … on the intended line … even with off-center strikes”Evnroll site says:This unique milling pattern also redirects the ball back to the center. So you can roll your putts the same distance to the same spotVery similar claims, subtle differences, misleading use of the term gear effect. If you wipe the face across the putter it does curve, especially on downhill putts. I’ve tried it for fun. It also really accentuates any already existing break. And you only need a few degrees of curve to lip a putt. That being said I don’t buy the gear effect on a putter. I just don’t think there is enough force on the ball, nor do people hit it far enough from the CG to create enough gearing effect to matter. cksurfdude 1 Quote Stats: 5'4", Male, R-Handed, Moderate Tempo, Driver SS 115mph Driver: Taylormade SiM Max 9*, TM Ventus Blue 6X 3w/5w: Callaway X-Hot, S-flex Fubuki shafts 3h: Tour Edge EXS Pro, Smoke Black 80g 6.0 4i-PW: Mizuno MP-4, DG S300 Wedges: Titleist SM7 56* Wedge: Callaway Jaws w/ 12* of bounce

You can influence the start line and ball speed by having extreme in to out or out to in, but the ball does not curve more or less because of that stroke. Friction between the ball and grass make it roll end over end and not spin. The "extra curve" is because gravity has a greater effect on the slower moving ball. If you have excessive side spin the start line shifts, the ball skids longer, and the pure roll starting direction can be impacted by a fraction of a degree. This can cause the ball to “look” like it curved even on a straight putt, and on a putt with break it affects where the ball apexes causing more/less break. I didn’t mean to make it sound like once it started rolling it was not rolling end over end, though rereading my post you could interpret it that way. The gear affect they are after is to limit the influence on the skidding of the ball. But I’m not sure the gearing effect will be large enough to cancel out spin due to a bad face/path relationship. cksurfdude and cnosil 2 Quote Stats: 5'4", Male, R-Handed, Moderate Tempo, Driver SS 115mph Driver: Taylormade SiM Max 9*, TM Ventus Blue 6X 3w/5w: Callaway X-Hot, S-flex Fubuki shafts 3h: Tour Edge EXS Pro, Smoke Black 80g 6.0 4i-PW: Mizuno MP-4, DG S300 Wedges: Titleist SM7 56* Wedge: Callaway Jaws w/ 12* of bounce

Rickp
Yep, solar umbrella. It's got a lining on the inside to reduce UV rays and make it cooler under the umbrella, which will be nice during the summer when I walk. WOW! Who thinks this stuff upSent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy MattF, cksurfdude and sirchunksalot 3 Quote Rick Left Hand, Driver; PXG 0311XF Cypher 50 gr Senior 5 wood; Ping 425, Senior Shaft 55 gr 7 wood; Ping 425, Senior Shaft 55 gr 5 hybrid; Cally Steelhead, Hazardous R2 Irons; Mizuno JPX 923HM 7-GW Recoil 460 F2 Wedges; Titleist S9 54*, Mizuno SW 56* Putter; Waaay too many to list

Be interested to hear some feedback on this once you start using it. When I use an umbrella on my push cart it makes it hotter than not having it, because underneath the umbrella there's no breeze coming thru. It's like a friggin sauna. Probably doesn't help that my umbrella is black and white. 24 minutes ago, KillerGees said: I'm at work.
