What have you bought lately? (CHA - Club Ho's Anonymous)

Recommended Posts

I wanted to close the loop on the “4 more yards” tees I purchased awhile ago. I love these damn tees! Am I hitting drives 4 more yards? Hell if I know! I do know the consistent tee height they provide has helped me a ton. I tend to start popping up drives late in my rounds because I don’t pay attention to tee height. Since they never break I handed out three of them to my group today and they loved them. Worth a try for those of you that struggle with consistent tee height.

I might have to give em a try!   🏌️‍♂️    I heard you had stock in this tee? 😉

Yes, I’m a shareholder. Regardless I let the tee creep up on me during the round and these set the tee height consistently each time. I still miss fairways but no more pop ups which keeps me in every hole. Give them a go...you’ll be happier than a frog in a fly eating contest.

I have been contemplating this for what seems like forever now.

It took me about a year to finally pull the trigger. It would've been easier if I didn't already have another brand of mirror previously, but I found someone to gift that to. Still debating if I want to get the putting carpet as well, heard some mixed reviews about it getting indentations from the ball rolling over it to the point of it having "tracks" but @jlukes hasn't had a problem with his and I trust his opinion over some Amazon reviews.

Same. Here. I'm probably going to get the Redline one though.

The eyeline mirror? That's the one I used to have. My only issue with it was that the holes where you put tees thru to practice your stroke were kind of useless with the short blade length of the ER2. Plus, I like the putting gate that the Puttout comes with, because I'm lazy to use tees.

... Who doesn't wanna swing faster? I kept thinking about ordering the Super Speed Golf but $200 seemed pretty steep. When I found this Accelerator Swing Speed Training System in component form for only $89.99 I ordered it. I was surprised when it arrived today and they were already assembled. Put it through a workout and yea, it tired me out more than I thought. But I have high hopes (spoken like a golfer 🙄 ) and will post back after several weeks.

@chisag can you do us a favour and weigh the sticks please? Here's a thread on these ones: https://forum.mygolfspy.com/topic/31571-diamond-tour-superspeed-stick-clones/?tab=comments#comment-538584 we were wanting to see if they're close to the same weight as the original Super Speed sticks.

Thanks.

... Matt, converting oz to gms I get 260-295-340 so looks like each is 5gm heavier than SS. The reason I went with these is I know speed training works, but not sue how much it will work fo me at 66. But I am in good shape and wok out so I am hoping to gain 5mph, which would be huge for me. I hit my irons longer than I hit my driver so I am really just looking for more swing speed with my driver, although a little more distance with my irons wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing at the bottom of my bag.

Champion, thanks mate! I think I'll be buying into these as well.

took advantage of the pga blackout sale that Jones Golf was having and bought a utility stand bag in black.......they sent me a navy one (probably the last one in their inventory). I think I'm going to stick with the navy one.

Interesting, I had one of those briefly. Hope it works out well for you!

Redline/Eyeline? Yeah that one 😂. Sounds like the PuttOut may be a bit more accommodating for different putter widths so I'm going to do a bit more research!

It's a little more expensive but I think the value of the stuff it comes with makes it worth the purchase: adjustable putter gates, the little spikes on the bottom to keep it from sliding, and the gate that you put in front to make sure you're rolling it straight. It's also a LOT more compact which I like.

cant seem to stop tinkering,  demoing a Cobra f9 and spider x putter  through the global golf 2 week trial program. Did a range session and quick 9 holes with them and it does not feel like they are going back. More testing this weekend, but I really like the spider x.  took about 7 tries to find a putter that I like but I may have found it. The cobra lives up to the effortless distance tag, best drive of the short season on second hole.

Found a Ping G30 3w with a stiff Alta shaft at Golf Galaxy, and finally have something to hit off the tee when I can't hit driver. It's a huge improvement.

I bought a Ping G400 LST 8.5 head a couple months ago since I still had my Veylix Rome 688 X shaft, and the LST was the driver head I was fitted to a couple times at Club Champion. Well, I finally got it on-course yesterday, and it performed incredibly! The TS3 is in trouble! I had 3 drives over 320 with it.
