I have a TM Truss sifting in my TaylorMadeGolf website shopping cart. I think it’s been there close to 11 days. Can’t pull the trigger.

Yep, my amazon carts have all been non-golf related lately and I picked up 2 new iPads for the kids for the distance learning they will need because of the epidemic.  I also went on the bay to look at golf stuff, but being stuck in the house hasn't boosted my need to buy anything golf related, LOL.  I did renew my son's Xbox Game Pass just so I could play The Golf Club 2...I guess that counts ?!

I just bought the X7 model, 34” Lefthand,  just because?

(actually, I’ve been wanting to try a mallet for quite a while, and when I spoke to the salesman, he said the “open box” option means it was returned brand new in the original package) A new Scotty in the version I’ve been wanting for under $300 is tough to pass up...

Took the opportunity of playing less golf to drop my clubs off for new grips.  Golf Pride CP2 wraps.

Just ordered some Lamkin all rubber Z5 grips that I have on all my clubs. 8 grips with the PXG logo were like $200 vs $25 shipped with the Callaway logo. Callaway was the easy choice.

$3ish a grip is a good deal.  I need to consider  replacing some grips on my clubs.

I haven't bought anything this year.  I was supposed to upgrade with Lamkin until COVID-19 struck.  Did receive some Bridgestone Tour B RX balls.

More FootJoy gloves on GolfLocker.com. I threw out 10 old gloves yesterday, and noticed I don’t have enough new ones to get me through our coming sweltering heat. I have five gloves going at a time each round during the summer, so I ordered another 4 today. $10 each for FJ, which is the same as Master Grip, so might as we buy the FJ!!!!

What color insert? I have heard that if it is anything other than white it differs in feel. Curious once you get some practice time in your thoughts.

My most recent purchase was a Ping Anser Sigma 2 putter. I had a Nike Ox mallet for about 10 years or so.

Black.  From a few putts today it felt a bit firm.  But more extended time to come on Wed.

I decided yo play around with the top end of my bag this year. Can't hurt!    I think I will audition drivers, but I already started by replacing my TaylorMade RBZ 3W with the same club in a 3W HL head ($62).  With a 17º FW, I decided to drop my 17º 2H.  Probably a mistake; I like that club, and I could go back to it.  My RBZ 3H at 19º will stay for now, but I am dropping the RBZ 5H.

Why am I doing this?  Well, I've been working on my swing and with lots of practice (pre-COVID-19), I've been hitting my 6i much better; it's 24º.  So I said to myself, "Self, you need to buy the matching 5i that goes with my set ($60 new).  It's 22º!!"  My irons have Nippon N.S. Pro Zelos 8 regular flex steel shafts, but I thought that I would modify this 5i by installing a 3i length regular flex Paderson graphite shaft ($40).  Presto!!  A driving iron!  I don't really need a driving iron, but there are a couple of long par 3 holes on my course where my 6i is just a little short, and my hybrids are not very accurate off a tee.

I would love to give these two new clubs a try, but courses are closed for another month.  Guess there is no rush on the driver.

Bought a Maxfli hitting mat from Golf Galaxy when they were running a 20% off training aids special and chose a hitting net from my companies reward program. 

The Maxfli hitting mat isn't anything special, but it is thick enough that I can set it up on my patio and not worry about my hands and elbows getting abused. Also, it's wide enough that I can stand on it and not worry about the ball being above or below my feet.

I figured using some foot spray, and my Swing Caddie SC200, I could at least work on my impact during the shutdown. I'll get pictures of the full setup when everything arrives.
