I had to buy a new phone last night. I was in a foul mood when I left the course yesterday afternoon after a horrible round and left my phone on the bumper of my truck. Didn't realise it wasn't with me until about halfway home when I got on the interstate. Went back to the course and as follows my luck, it didn't fall off in the parking lot, it fell off on the main road outside of the course. This was the result of 50+ cars running over it.



It used to be a Pixel 3XL, so I "upgraded" to a Pixel 4XL.

I received the gap and lob wedge heads from Arias Golf on Thursday, installed Steelfiber FC115 shafts yesterday and now they are ready to go. Can’t wait to take these out.


Can’t say enough good things about these clubs. If you haven’t heard, Arias Golf is a small Canadian company that created the True Zero Offset irons and wedges. So no offset at all, actually, a slight amount of onset. I have been playing classic irons for awhile and these Arias irons look like a classic iron at address but with a full cavity back and a more friendly sole grind.

They feel fantastic, just as good as forged, even though they are 431 stainless steel. They do a heat treatment to them which they say helps with the feel and also allows 6* of lie adjustment...so not your standard harsh stainless feel.

There was a time when I would have repeatedly punched something in rage about it, but I stewed a little bit then settled into the valley of deep depression. Sh!t happens, I'm over it and am getting used to the 4XL.

Got my Father’s Day / Birthday early this year.

Toulon Garage San Diego from the Garage. Daughter let them know what putter I played, and they matched it up. Box come to the house, I thought I won something. LOL

I've been self-conscious about my Ping JBag that I've had since 2005.  Honestly, its in perfect shape, The issue?  It's embroidered with my name.  That's cool when you're an Assistant at a club, not cool when you're a recreational player.  

So I bought a Ping Hoofer Lite.  It's been about 2 weeks now and I am pleased.  The strap system had me a little nervous as I always loved the traditional Ping strap style and design.  I don't carry a ton of junk and the pocket design and layout suits my needs.  

The biggest difference I've noticed is it is far more stable while on a cart.  Super comfy to carry and a true Ping bag through and through.

Picked up some hats at T.J. Maxx a Puma, Adidas, and an Under Armour bucket. We also stopped at some thrift stores and I found six Top Flite XL 2000's still in the box to use in the Hard Rock Challenge.

I'll have to make sure to wear my work safety glasses. I love how they have a titanium cover and tungsten core ( for softness).

I don't know if this qualifies as bought today as I have been acquiring the pieces over time. One of my hobbies is collecting putters. Over 10 years ago I was buying a lot of old PING B60, B61 and any coppers I could afford. I would pop putter heads off and have them refinished. Photos are of stainless B60's/B61's with updated KBS putter shaft, Ping Blackout Grips and you can't see but each as ProSoft Inserts and heavy back weights under grips. These were favorites in my younger days (late 70's/ early 80's). So I got them built/completed today -- feel like I bought them today
