Ordered an Odyssey Triple Track 2-ball mallet just because it was the top mallet on the MGS 2020 mallet test. Sounded like a good idea.

Well, I’m 61 and recovering from a quintuple heart bypass I had in June. Shocker as I am very active and play golf everyday. Anyway, while healing, I decided to spend some money (the old adage you can’t take it with you!). Keeping my Ping G400 driver and TEE EXS 3-wood. Just bought the 2 & 3 Titleist TS2 hybrids (loved my old 915H’s) and ordered some Ping i210 irons (5-UW) with AWT 2.0 shafts. My Vokey SM7 wedges and my Evnroll ER-1 putter are staying in the bag. Still have another 3 weeks before I can hit balls. Very excited to try out my new toys. Good health and happiness to all!

Ping G410 - turned down to11.25 degrees, neutral setting - Fujikura Motore X R flex

Ping G410 5-9 wood

Wilson D7 forged 6-GW -  Mamiya recoil 460 R flex

SCOR 52,60

EVNRoll ER 5

Titleist Pro VIx optic yellow with revkev stamped on them

Currently testing Edison wedges to replace SCORS that are wearing out. Also auditions for the 14th spot in the bag.  Current possibilities are a Ping 26 degree hybrid - duplicates the 9 wood or 5 iron but would be used almost exclusively for chipping or Tour Exotics 3 wood simply because you can carry 14 clubs and I might occasionally hit it in certain unusual wind conditions once every four or five rounds.

... As much as I love my T100-S, I have a soft spot for Taylor Made forged irons (pun intended) especially the P760's. As I have said before the thick top line (although the tiger stripes in the cavity are also an eye sore that at least I don't see at address) was my only complaint so I ordered the cleaner looking, thinner top lined P770 4 iron. Figured I could just add the 5-pw if I fall in love or the 4 iron should be easy to sell if I decide to stick with my T100-s.

looks-wise TM has hit a homerun with the P7 series -- 770, 7MB, 7MC.
Those are some gorgeous looking iron heads.

... I agree and think the P7 series will be a monster seller for TM. I will be very interested in the P770 short irons. The P760's had a solid forging in their pw-8 iron so adding speed foam to the P770 short irons is something the engineers obviously felt was the way to go. I imagine they have a thicker face than the 7- 3 irons but I will have to demo them to find out how they work for me. My only complaint with my P790's was the short irons were a little more explosive than I would have liked. Not fliers from good lies, just longer than I was used to so I played a lot of 3/4 shots with them.

I canceled my Cleveland Smart Sole 4 wedge order. It was taking a while for it to be built, and the order was an overreaction to bad bunker play. Going to learn how to hit out of the bunker with a standard wedge. Thanks to the help from a few folks on here, I learned that i am not setting up correctly and not having the right intent either with my bunker shots.

Picked up a couple of new wedges today, Vokey SM7 52 and 56 in F grind. 20200826_153156-01.jpeg.dbff5238ffc139addf5b5378213bbc7b.jpeg
I took off work early to pick them up and took them to the range to get a feel for them out of the grass. So far, I'm liking them as they're hitting the yardages I was looking for. I'm a little concerned with the ability to open the face way up on the 56, I'm going to need to work with it a little more as it's different from the Bridgestone Tour B X W1 I've been gaming. I was planning on going with just 2 specialty wedges, but I might have to keep the 60 in the bag.
